Be careful for what you ask for taking away one’s freedom of protest. It’s the core of great democracy. It doesn’t matter if you agree, or disagree with what they are protesting about. I (and I doubt the majority of others who post here) have no problem with protesting, as long as it is done within the law. Cities have laws that govern where, when and how a protest must be conducted. But for example when your "protest" closes down a major freeway and blocking traffic for more than an hour (as I have personally witnessed), or other such actions that impede commerce or (as in all too many cases) endangers lives, then it is no longer a protest but instead, civil disobedience, with legal penalties that vary from state to state.
Sure. Protest. But don't trample on the rights or the well-being of others in the process.
