The law means something to me. And the flag doesn't mean anything to me, it's just cloth. HOWEVER I recognize that it does mean something to a lot of other people, and I respect their right to feel loyalty to the flag even though I feel no such thing toward what I perceive as a piece of cloth.
As such, I also recognize that IF you are going to proclaim yourself a patriot and raise the flag of the United States, you should do it correctly. Or, don't do it at all.
Have a little respect for what you CLAIM to love. Or admit you don't really give a damn about the flag, you just want to pretend to conform to some kind of social nicety that you think might buy your ticket to patriot heaven or something.
