We visit the Library a couple times a week, so we dropped it today and picked up books. Don't see an advantage of voting in person or early if there is a faster way and can do multiple stuff (breakfast at Darrells was also part of the run) :)

I’m wondering why one parties mail in ballots are legitimate and the other parties are fraudulent. Hmmmm just saying

The mail in envelope is not postage free, so don't forget the stamp. Your vote will not count unless it is returned with the proper 1st class postage.

Your mail in ballot requires two Forever stamps, not just one. I read on the gov. site that it requires $.70 postage Someone in Marion county told me that theirs do not require postage but Sumter does.

no surprise

anytime a new process is introduced in the eleventh hour and hasn't been fully tested to get the 'kinks' out of it, you're going to have issues

Dropped my mail in envelope yesterday at the Library. Only two people in front of me and no postage needed. Easy.

Now we even have Librarians handling National Election Ballots!

So, you take your mail in ballot that you received in the mail, that was handled by how many people, fill it out and stand in line with a bunch of people to be told to go inside and HAND it to another person? Hmmm, now that's a great idea of how to avoid the virus..

Your Spot-On Byte1, Thank you! :clap2:
I'm expecting more votes counted then actual register voters in some states...

The mail in ballot I received said “no postage required”. So double-check.

You should double-check the ballot you received and make sure it's legit. Our ballots clearly stated postage required.

But maybe you are going to vote in person, so it wouldn't matter. But I think your information might be incorrect.

There were no lines at the Sumter County office. Very large lobby with a box and a person wearing a mask receiving the ballots. We did not touch anything.

Not like you had to wait in line for an open voting booth that other people had used in a close-quarter situation.

Ours said postage required. Sumter County

Funny thing happened today. My former state sent me a notice that early voting started today and that I should get my vote in. Apparently, I am still registered in the other state as well as this state, which I have lived in for near ten years.

Vote in person if at all possible.

I'll be voting in person this coming week. My wife will also. I see no problem, since everyone will be social distancing and the booths are spaced. Guess I am not prone to mass hysteria. If I get infected, I'll let you know so that you can say "I told you so" and if your candidate loses, I will say "I told you so." On the other hand, if your candidate wins and I catch the virus it won't matter anyway.

I think you might be right. This will make 2000 a walk in the park. It will give circuses a bad rap. Fortunately, there will be a multitude of clowns.

We're in Indiana. It took about 10 days each way, after they mailed the ballots to us. (You can sort of track it on the website, so you can see when they send it and when they receive it.) I can't understand why the mail is so slow. Usually a first class item gets from The Villages to here in about 3 days.
