There's a difference between peaceful protest and mob riots. I support peaceful protest. However IMHO, those who participate in rioting, defacing property, looting, throwing Molotov cocktails and bricks, bottles, etc., should be shot on sight.

I’m 68 years old and would never even consider calling a police officer anything but sir or officer but we are now in a place where a very large percentage of Americans feel very comfortable giving a cop the middle figure or telling them to f—- off. Last night a nypd cop was attacked and beat on camera until he was able to get his firearm out. He let the thugs run away instead of shooting them. I can assure you if he had fired his gun CNN would have screamed police brutality all day today. Those “peaceful protesters” are lucky they selected the right cop as they could be in morgue this morning assuming it isn’t burnt down.

This may be the single most ignorant premise I have ever seen posted on this site, and that's a MIGHTY high bar to reach.

I get so tired of people dismissing what is occurring before our eyes and making politically decisive statements. What will it take to stand together as one nation?

How would you stop this violence?

Martial Law
Martial law will not accomplish one thing. It would only serve to hand those who want to start some sort of war between groups the fuel they have been itching for.
The voice the nation is hungry for is reasonable, concerned, understanding national leadership that says to law enforcement its time to detain all of the officers involved while the investigation moves forward and to protesters "we hear you" and will convene a commission to address law enforcement excessive use of force and lethal tactics against unarmed citizens.... Until there is meaningful engagement NOTHING will stop protest...... Martial Law - What happened at Kent State University must never happen again. |

I disagree with Marshal Law at this point. What is needed first is for the leaders of these cities to step up and allow the enforcers to do their jobs and clear this mess out without fear of repercussions for lawful response. The governors and Mayors of these states and cities have succombed to common sense because of the fear that they will lose votes. I got news for them, They are losing votes every second they delay putting an end to this violence. The point is made, let the people vote and stop voting to repeat the same response you constantly get.
