Most villages people should be boycotting

McDonald’s not because of the politics , but because they shouldn’t be eating the food lol

The comments in this section are a prime example of how we all perceive things through our own pre-conceived biases and ideas. Was this an simply an example of overworked, stressed out McD employees doing the best they could but still screwing up with no intention to disrespect the officer or an example of people deliberately disrespecting only police officers? Or was it something else entirely? It all depends on where you start from especially when the facts are so scanty. But lack of facts does not stop most of us from immediately having strong opinions.

IMO, the moral of the original post and all the subsequent posts is don’t believe most anything posted on social media sites unless you validate the post multiple times.

That is discusting. I dare say that this is not something new. At 18 years old, in 1968 i enlisted in the U.S. Military, was sent to Viet Nam fought bravely, was severly injured and was confined to a US Naval hospital for one year. Upon eagerly entering into a CIVILIZED society i found that it was anything but civilized. I, and many other brothers were spite on, called every vulgar name imaginable including BABY KILLER and was an outcast in the country i fought and and nearly died for. So, this is NOT NEW. I WILL DEFEND MY BROTHERS IN BLUE.

All you sofa experts who second guess her problem. The stress of the officer's job is enough to make even a seasoned officer go home and have a good cry after their shift. Disrespected, hated, injured, restaurant employees spitting in their food or refusing to serve them. She is not overly emotional, probably just frustrated at the end of a shift with all that she deals with. Giver her a break and don't play psychologist.

She knows whats happening all over to her brothers and sisters in blue and is suspicious when this happens. She isnt over emotional. She is tired from working double shifts due to many cops getting the virus. She is still coming to work everyday regardless of the new negative attitude towards cops. Walk in her shoes for one day and see what the stress is like. Trying to stay alive everyday, protecting your family and add that to wondering if her food has been spit on

Really? Their "foods are being tampered with on a pretty constant basis"? I couldn't find much at all about this - only two incidents, actually. This sounds suspiciously like one of those internet rumors, unfortunately.

It's amazing how many of you have eaten at McD and say you order was screwed up again and again but you still go back.

Mfrench 09-19-2020 07:51 PM

How very nieve of you to think this delay was just par for the course and not because she was a policewoman! MacDonalds stresses quick service. Any intelligent person can tell when a delay in service is purposeful! It’s called “attitude”!!!!

If this is not fake news, then the officer is not mentally prepared to be a police officer. Like the military, it is a dangerous profession.

Let’s never let a good rumor get in the way of facts. Let’s take the long time myth of soldiers being spit on . I’m not going to say there were isolated incidents but it’s mostly a myth used by many different politicians and yes some vets . There was a book written many years ago called the spitting image by Jerry Lembcke he came to the same conclusions as I had before I read his book . I went back and forth to Vietnam in uniform 4 times , I then when back many more times as a civilian and with my short hair at airports left no doubt I was government. I never had more then a peace sign flashed at me . I had discussions at airport bars with the many anti war people and never did they disrespect the uniform and most gave me a hug or a warm handshake when plane was called , I started asked many people I knew and I knew many who knee many and none ever answered that it had happened , most had the same stories I did . This story and the police story remind me of a story about my mother my mother was very big in the civil rights movement and the anti war movement , told by my sister it was mentioned at one meeting that here son had been part of the war for a long time ,,she just looked at that person very stern and said you do know we are protesting the war not the soldier lots of people today could learn a lot from my mother

I relied quite a bit on my own and many people I know who had same experiences , to believe nothing but what fits are own views is to believe in nothing , our lives, the world , are mostly filled with grey those that see only in black and white, will mostly feel unhappy most of time

Not sure what happened there without more information.

It does look like she was in very dire need of sleep and some kind words of encouragement.

okay there's a few Cops that should never have been allowed to be Cops....

that's no excuse for all the stories that we've heard about biased people spitting on food Cops have ordered and other nefarious acts

somehow a lot of folks have lost their moral compass and ability to accept that it's perfectly okay to have differences in opinion

you know, that's an excellent reply. last week we replaced our outdoor bulb with a blue one, to show support for all the GOOD cops trying to do their best in today's world. i was surprised 2-3 days later, others had the same idea, & now we see about 6 other blue's in our village. yeah, it's superficial, but i did feel good about it. maybe some cop will see them & know they aren't forgotten.

It's not fake. It really did happen a few months ago. The police officer had been having a horrible day, was already worn and frazzled from the anti-police drama AND the pandemic, combined, and she really was just hoping to get into line, get her food, and get out again.

She ended up with a delay and the wrong food instead, and it was just the last straw. Most people at the time felt badly for her, but they also did NOT blame McDonalds' for purposefully sabotaging her order.

Some people did blame McDonalds, and added it to the conspiracy stories. A few even blamed Soros. I mean it really got ridiculous, if you took a walk down the rabbit hole of the internet.

But for the most part, people just accepted and sympathized with the police officer, without feeling like they had to also be angry at McDonalds or the employees, who clearly screwed up.
