Here’s How Scientists Know the Coronavirus Wasn’t Made in a Lab | Snopes.com

Hope this puts this to bed.

I wear a mask when I go shopping or to the movies, etc. But if there are only a few people in the movie theater auditorium I take it off when the movie trailers start or maybe even before that. And someone were to come in and sit a few feet from me, it would come back on. They might have a variant I was not protected from with my two Moderna vaccinations.

Is the person making that statement also claiming a moral superiority over persons who choose not to wear masks and not benefit others?

Yes. Yes I am. :MOJE_whot:

Wrong, you can transmit the disease even if vaccinated.

Since I am in the "minority" and "offended" by those that wear masks, how come I am not favored like everyone else that is in the "minority" and "offended"?

Why would you put it back on? They chose to sit close to you. Let them sit elsewhere. Time to stop caving into the "righteous ones".

Masks. Masks. Masks. This is like beating a dead horse. Wear it where its mandated. Take it off when allowed. Simple.

Yeah, no kidding. It's like there is a 'Mask Privilege' doctrine.

It depends on the person, I think if someone says that, it's simply common sense on their part and no morality play. If I hold a door open in the supermarket for the person behind me is that a morality play? Or just being nice? I think you need to check your Morales at home and keep wearing your mask and stop worrying about little things like this

Good for you. Enjoy. We aren't playing the game any more.

I think that they are only expressing their person choice. It's up to others to decide whether they believe that is superior morally.

It's quite possible that people that choose not to wear a mask feel that they are highly unlikely to spread the virus. That doesn't make them less moral, it only says that they have a different opinion.

By the way I heard on television that in fact if you have been vaccinated that you are indeed highly unlikely to spread the virus. Experts, including Dr Fauci have been saying for a long time that it is almost impossible to spread the virus outdoors. If people feel that they should wear a mask outdoors that's their right. I personally don't think that it makes them morally superior. I do think that it makes them uninformed but that is only my opinion.

Juliebythesea 05-10-2021 06:29 AM

Yes I really feel it’s no problem. Wear a mask for a while. What’s the big deal?

Raybob 05-10-2021 06:46 AM

Moral Superiority

It's called respect for others and common sense.

Raybob 05-10-2021 06:48 AM

A mask doesn't prevent either. It reduces the risk and reduces the symptoms.
