Participating in the trial - so far, so good.

Only 94 of the +30,000 US participants have gotten COVID so far so this implies 9 of the vaccine receipants have gotten the virus vs. 85 in the placebo wing. So the study continues.

Fingers crossed...

Yes, as soon as the scientists say it is safe. I have two new grandchildren I cannot see right now and I have a wedding I want to attend, so YES we are anxiously waiting.

After a couple of months, and a few million other people get the vaccine without issue, I am in.

Eventually.
I won’t be first in line.

No. I believe I've already been exposed to the virus multiple times and probably have already had it. I will, however, strongly encourage anyone who is concerned about this virus to get this vaccine. The sooner they have peace of mind and feel safe, the sooner things will get back to normal.

No serious safety concerns have been observed, the company said.”

“Work on the vaccine began in Mainz, Germany, in late January, . . . BioNTech used a technology that had never been approved for use in people. It takes genetic material called messenger RNA and injects it into muscle cells, which treat it like instructions for building a protein — a protein found on the surface of the coronavirus. The proteins then stimulate the immune system and are believed to result in long-lasting protection against the virus. Other companies, including Moderna, are also using messenger RNA technology.
BioNTech quickly identified 20 vaccine candidates, and began testing them on rodents. But the company lacked the experience and resources to rapidly conduct a major clinical trial. So Mr. Sahin called Pfizer.”

Shoot me up! How about you?
First, I want to see President Trump or President Elect Biden take it. A public example would be very helpful given the skepticism people have towards the vaccine.

President Trump already had the virus so why would he get the vaccine?

Biden seems very worried about the virus so he should be first in line to get this vaccine. Same with Fauci and Harris.

I will take it as soon as humanly possible. I understand that the military is going to distribute it.

NY State bar has passed MANDATORY Covid-19 vaccinations. If an insufficient number of people willingly get the vaccine, they could be ordered to be vaccinated.
