Watching golf today on CBS.

Jim Nantz could hardly choke it out, "CBS Sports celebrates PRIDE month."

Pretty pathetic that a grown-arse man isn't man enough to acknowledge that "different" people are celebrating their existence this month.

Why do they have to celebrate being “different”?

To distinguish from all the times when they are treated as inferior because of their differences. Why do you NOT need to celebrate your sameness? Because - you're all the same. No one is discriminating against you. No one is treating you as inferior due to your sameness. No one is trying to kill you for being the same. No one is refusing to make a cake for you because of your sameness. No one is refusing to hire you, refusing to promote you, refusing to teach you, refusing to leave you in peace, as a direct result of your sameness.

People who are different, are vilified, trashed, bullied, belittled, assaulted, rejected, and killed - just because they're different. So one month a year they get together and say "y'know what - we are worthy of celebrating our existence."

And so they do.

Or maybe because they feel the need to throw it in everyone’s face

A whole month commemorating an abnormal very small percentage of the population is beyond ridiculous. Memorial Day and Veterans Day are only days, not months, and these memorialize men and women who sacrificed for their country. As far as I am concerned LGB is ok but the remainder of the initials apply to perverts. In any case pride is misdescriptive and to adopt a rainbow as a symbol which commemorates no more world wide floods is absurd. What do they have to be proud of? Gimme a break!

This attitude is exactly why an entire month is set aside to recognize these marginalized individuals. When America is more tolerant and accepting then a month will not be necessary.

Give them an XXX rated minute, not a month. And protect our children from them. We should not be the laughingstock of the world over this preposterous celebration of deviance.

An example sample: Dad and Daughter Get Payouts as School District Settles Transgender Outrage Case: 'Resounding Victory for Freedom of Speech'

Another: Elon Musk supports family punished for speaking out against biological male using girls''' locker room | Fox News

Is doubling down on my point supposed to change my mind?

Deep down inside they know something is wrong, so the need to celebrate a maladjustment to pretend it isn't, there is no excuse for mindless violence but crimes against LGBT gets more press than is justified

Excellent post, but those who have never experienced discrimination will have a hard time accepting or understanding. Particularly those who seem to have been indoctrinated by old school religious/societal views that homosexuality is somehow "bad". When you see people with gender identity issues being referred to as “perverts”, you know you're wasting your breath.

You can’t change people’s attitudes by making them angry. All this in your face behavior is just making the situation worse.

A whole month to celebrate(?) those that have a mental disorder. It's great to recognize this lifestyle that is merely a fantasy decision on their part, that they claim is causing them to be discriminated against. Waiting for Hollyweird to demand their month to celebrate. After all, they live in a pretend world also.
I have no problem with those that live an abnormal, deviant lifestyle being treated fairly. Just stay out of my face, and away from my children. I have no use for your perversion in my life and do not presume to demand special treatment, just because of your mental disorder. It is not a normal lifestyle so do not force acceptance on NORMAL folks. I do not bother them and do not treat them any different than anyone else, other than I recognize that they are not normal and should not be considered as normal. If normal folks do not accept you with open arm acceptance, don't blame them. If being abnormal is being treated by our government better than disabled veterans, don't blame the majority for their not being joyous that being a deviant gets a month of special treatment and recognition, equal to minorities like blacks and Hispanics.
But, this subject is about advertising the abnormal lifestyle commercially. I applaud the discerning public for showing Bud that they do not approve of the endorsement of obscene, deviant lifestyle. Maybe Budweiser is finally paying for stealing the name from another country that had it first? Maybe it's karma? It's a shame that stock holders must suffer for bad choices of the company.
