There's a ton of violence going on in NYC and the criminals are walking free at least the Post reports that so we know what's really going on rather than pretending NYC is safe.

News tends to feed on itself. Crime for example. New York city is like 13 MILLION PEOPLE.
I recall reading MANY YEARS AGO, two murders a night. Not bad odds, UNLESS ONE OF THOSE TWO IS YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER. It has actually been tried and failed good news does not sell. With such a large population New York City is able to support many newspapers. The Times, The Post, The Wall Street Journal come to mind. There are also several in foreign languages, El Dario, there was one in Yiddish. I'm sure I missed many.
The POST is the longest continuously published paper in the United States. If, I recall it was owned by Alexander Hamilton-NO I WAS NOT THERE.
Pretending it is safe? I refuse to live in fear. |
