The reason Operation warp speed worked so well is because the government cleared all the bureaucratic hurdles that caused previous vaccine development to take 10 years. The government also incentivized vaccine developers by committing to billions of dollars of orders for any vaccine approved. More "predatory capitalism" or something.

Yep, government "greased" the skid and it took lots of time out of the equation, yet the same folks who rave about that warp speed seem to complain about the safety of the vaccine.

I happen to think that warp speed helped Moderna for sure and Moderna and Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer to get temporary approval.

But, if you think it moved to fast and is unsafe how can you brag about the speed.

I am a fiscal conservative. I am a person who strongly believes that most of our scientists have ethical motives. I am a person who knows that the press is motivated and financially fueled by click bait and that most politicians are not statesmen or women.

Not all people, no matter HOW they vote can be trusted to use true critical thinking. Not me, not you, not anyone. We all have our own agenda. Smart is whether or not someone agrees with you. Fear engenders a lot of theories. Getting to the truth of anything is the biggest obstacle mankind has.

Agree about Fauci even though I've never liked him. I think he does, however, need to answer to why US $'s were given to China researchers.

Not sure I agree with your statement that our scientists are ethical. Most, probably but there are too many fueled by greed. China has easily manipulated many of our citizens in various industries simply by buying them off. Greed plus no sense of being a patriot is leading to the downfall of this country.

What are you raving about now? I got my first shot of the vaccine on the very first day Publix scheduled the shots. You seem to think that people who recognize the success of warp speed are anti vaccine people? How ludicrous!

If you want to talk about people who are resistant to the vaccine you might want to start with employees at the NIH CDC FDA etc because only 50-60% of them accepted the vaccine.

I agree. The chances of actual facts about this being made public are very slim. The US has a long-standing biological warfare program itself, which was supposed to be disbanded ages ago.

If China released the virus on purpose, that could be an international crime against humanity and should be investigated. But, that seems very unlikely, since releasing a biological warfare agent in your own country is not very smart.
