That one was purposely colored green to blend in and be hard to read...other than the larger dark orange. :D

That way, it identifies the portion I was responding to...without deleting/modifying the original post.

Since it was a quote, one could easily scroll up...and read the entire original post.

Many people just make the portion of the quote they want to address a larger font. It seems to work well for everyone else. They seem to get it.
The colored font and small font is really annoying.

THAT...is very concerning. :ohdear:

Why would you be surprised. Having served for 26 years in the military, our soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen are just a cross section of the American public. They are no more noble or saintly than most.

I haven't ever in my life heard of a Boogaloo. Has anyone else reading this? I know not one soul in my eighty years who would ever consider KKK people anything but criminals.

I agree with your post. In the late sixties and early seventies hippy types and African-American kids used to say, “Well, I got to boogaloo,” meaning “leave.” There was a very popular dance called “the boogaloo,” especially seen on “Soul Train.” Some people would say “You wanna boogaloo?” Meaning “You wanna get it on?” or “Do you want to have sex?” I believe that “boogaloo” was an African-American euphemism for sex (which is itself a euphemism, of course) way back in the thirties and forties. The term became a slang term, sometimes pejorative, for young African-American men, sometimes used by cops. I believe that back in Vietnam, and in wars since then, “Time to boogaloo” meant time to go into the fight and shoot people. I think “boogaloo” is also the source of the musical term “Boogie,” as in “Let’s boogie” or “Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy” or “Cow-Cow Boogie.”

Ganging Up

There's WAAAAY too much of that going around.

Particularly if there's a concerted effort, to gang up, bash and attack...those that don't think exactly as we do.
:ho:[/QUOTE]

Adult bullying seems to come out whenever there is something big in the news. It was rampant against companies who supported Trump before the election, it was ramped way up for the 'Me Too' movement, and now for anyone who says anything controversial in the slightest about the current rage. I see it criticized in the news all the time when it's children, but it seems to be the thing to do as an adult.

GREAT. A new cop killing hero.

Sherrilee 06-14-2020 08:02 AM

Yes boogaloos - their members wear Hawaiian shirts so you really can pick them out of a crowd.

LoisR 06-14-2020 09:29 AM

Those people you "never heard of or saw" are out there. All one needs to do is open ones heart and mind.

I agree with everything you said Graciegirl but I think we could really ease the tension if we could get the big trouble makers out of there. The trouble makers are the one throwing objects, standing face to face with police, starting fires & looting. The peaceful one as you see on TV are standing way back & trying to keep from getting their heads busted open. Get the trouble makers out of there & put them in jail & the peaceful ones will go home or make peace. I know everyone here are just making opinions because if we had all the answers we wouldn’t be here making comments they would be calling us for help. Also we wouldn’t be having other comments putting us down. You did make a lot of sense in your comment, thank you! Don’t be to hard on me about my opinion!

I have heard of Boogaloo. Also Antifa. They have been in all of the news that I see on TV.

Is it me or did anyone else notice someone (liberal media, etc?) jumping up and down in excitement over discovering a big bad "white" boy accused of killing a COP?
My opinion is that anyone that kills a COP is scum, white, black or alien from outer space. What is ironic is that IF this White Nationalist was attempting to give BLM a bad name, his action was moot and redundant. Too bad the knee technique was banned before they arrested him.
"Carrillo’s presence on Facebook mostly featured support for a libertarian presidential candidate, anti-police sentiment and pro-gun causes." ---- Definitely NOT a conservative. Funny how he is associated with "white nationalists." Anyone else look at his photo and see his name? Oh well, I guess it takes all types. More than likely, he will dwell well in prison and do a small sentence and get out to do more harm.

From Sen Marco Rubio......

"Fact is the legitimate organizers have gone to great lengths to stop agitators from hijacking protest"

THAT...is very concerning. :ohdear:

It is concerning to me. the WHOLE idea of an ALL-volunteer military is like a 3rd world mercenary army or one set up by Saudi Arabia. Bring back some kind of draft to increase real civilian input. In my opinion.

Nice post. Nice derivation of the term. Who says TOTV is not educational?

TOP DEFINITION FROM URBAN DICTIONARY
boogaloo
Civil war. Does not only pertain to war with the government but also to political sides.
Me: I just got doxxed and fired. I'm sick of these pinko commies with their authoritarian social justice GARBAGE.

Friend: I just doxxed the guy who doxxed you. Let's get this boogaloo started.
Me: Cowabunga it is.

I like jimjamusers definition better.
NO POLITICAL REFERENCES ARE ALLOWED ON THE WEBSITE. USERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DIRECT COMMENTS TOWARD ANOTHER USER. DIRECT THEM TO THE TOPIC. VIOLATION OF THESE RULES CAN LEAD TO ACCOUNT TERMINATION AND BAN.

Passing judgment on what another poster knows or believes breaks the rules. Post #26.

An interim great post about the ease of reading someone's post because of color and size are slammed dunked with and in your face with a no way. Instead of being cooperative and easy-going and nice. Its never gonna happen as this request has been asked for several years.

Referencing Boogaloo in a post is clearly Political and not allowed under the properly fonted and re-reminded most broken rule on the Forum. I never heard of the word either. I am shocked that the rules of the Forum are again not followed by certain posters.
