Maybe, maybe not. When you have no fresh water, no sanitation, no food, no heat, light, internet, cell phone, I think they will rethink what they are dong. They have no leadership just slogans and passion. So give them a taste of reality.

Very possibly but could see some idiots trying to smuggle in food and other basic necessities.

Their own words say you are leaving the USA. So therefore we need a contract to provide services. This to me is a failure of two institutions, parenting and education. Its like anything else in life when you have no skin in the game, you do not respect it or take care of it. So its time for a life lesson. I'd refuse to let them leave either. If they are a separate country they need an agreement for immigration. like I said, they want to play, let's play....

The present situation calls for calm and let this thing play out.
Sooner rather than later these knuckleheads will get the message and give up, with the exception of a tiny few. Using force is the easy way, these clowns have no idea, just let them exist on their present environment they will give up …..soon |

The chief of police can help set the direction if she does her job sooner than later.
However, if the mayor decides to send in food, water, medical supplies it will not go away. The demands will eventually go beyond basics. The average citizenry both inside and outside will soon decide, enough is enough and recall/fire/toss out the mayor. |

Wishful thinking. Why would they care one way or another. It’s not their battle. Certainly is entertaining to think about though

The thugs have put up walls, beat people that don't agree with them, threatened business owners and kicked people out. BUT they still need us to take care of them. DS

The Hell's Angels thing was debunked but there is a group planning to retake the area on July 4th. I believe before this is over there will be violence there by two different groups. This should never have been allowed to get to this point. Protesting is a constitutional right, Anarchy is an insurrection. They should be removed from the area and charged accordingly.

Is the answer in the past...1985: When Philly police dropped a bomb on a residential neighborhood. I don't think so.

If those in charge have not acted by now. Forget it.
What is going to change their mind. Let it burn itself out or take over the rest of the city. Those with any sense will move out. What makes anyone think the criminals and thugs will be happy being contained in the existing area? What happens when there is not sufficient sanitation to support tent city living? What will they do as food is not sufficiently available? Just to mention a few. The mayor and governor have let the clock run. They now have adopted the criminal element as part of their constituency. We will see what they do at budget time when there is a significant short fall. Whether the mayor and governor realize it or not they have crested the hill and are sliding full speed ahead downward. |
