Default Rolling the dice

The question should not be if these events are super spreader, but if people should attend.

Before this motorcycle rally there were a number of people stood in front of cameras stating it was their lives and they were willing to take the risk.

I support this view 110% with one caveat. Anyone taking this position should have to sign a waver if they get the virus, they will quarantine for 2 weeks no matter how sick they get.

They should not be allowed to infect anyone who was not willing to take this risk.
They rolled the dice they live great, if they die so be it.

Since when has the Washington Post been a “questionable source”? The answer is NEVER! The only folks who always rail against it & the New York Times are purveyors of lies that always call facts “fake news”. The most prominent is Fox News who hungrily promote Russian disinformation and praise congenital liars. It’s clear, without any doubt, that Sturgis WAS a super spreader event just like the Amy Comey Barrett introduction at the White House. Anyone who disputes that is either lying or an idiot. It doesn’t matter if you’re wealthy either. You can still be a moron with a lot of money. Stop attacking the messenger! It’s an ad hominem argument that is only used by those who can’t dispute the truth, so they resort to talking about anything but the issue. The Post, along with the New York Times, is a blazing lighthouse in the thickest fog seen since the days of the Nixon administration. We also had the same kind of liars then. Remember Spiro Agnew’s constant attacks on the “media”? He was a stone cold criminal and, I believe, we have a much more brazen mob of criminals now. The big difference is that this group of criminals has a news outlet, Fox News, that embraces lying to Americans.
I notice a lot of posts on this site that rail against the “media” instead of presenting a cogent rebuttal. That’s what Fox News does! Fox News scrambles your brain to the point that you are no longer able to even think. Arguing that Sturgis was NOT a super spreader event is not only wrong, it’s ludicrous.

Hi. The problem is everyone will get it. Just like the flu, this virus will move throughoit the population eventually exposing everyone. Most will never know. Some will get fluish etc and some will require hospitalization. A slightly higher percentage than flu but worse for elderly folks. TV population is very vulnerable so it is suggested we observe all the measures to protect ourselves vigorously.

I am sad to read that the vaccine may be delayed until Spring.

I don't want anyone to get it, especially our wonderful group of seventy or better.
Cases will rise to 70,000 per day by Jan. The vaccine will NOT be distributed until later in 2021. Many will NOT take it. CV will be around for 3 or 4 years. Google Dr. Michael Osterholm and Laurie Garrett to check it out.

It worked for Australia, New Zealand, Japan and other Asia countries. Germany did OK. Google it,

Exactly correct. The US is awash in propaganda. Social media increases the fog. It takes work to pull out the truth. Truth like the Sturgis Rally aftermath gets obscured.

Government misinformation aside, this is pretty much a summation of where the experts come down and always have....

"Even if the most optimistic projections hold true and a COVID-19 vaccine is cleared for U.S. use in November, the vast majority of Americans won’t be able to get the shots until spring or summer next year at the earliest."

Basically, there is almost no contact tracing occurring in the US and that is especially true for large events. In March, CDC estimated a need for 100,000 contact tracers. The federal government under trump committed to supply 600 and have not even met that number. The reality is that cases are spiking.
