My great uncle committed suicide in 1992 and my brother's wife's brother committed suicide in 2014. This is often extremely painful for the family members as I assume many of us can attest. There were a number of suicides on our block in Reno, Nevada in the 1970s due to gambling addiction or other causes.

Most of these people used guns of various kinds.
