The Super Bowl is a big American deal. How foolish to not take the opportunity to have a show that would appeal to a much wider audience, including young kids and all the way through to us Boomers and beyond. There are many big name entertainers who would have reached more people. We need that.
I am going back and forth right now, trying to decide what aggravated me the most, that show or that last minute loss. I hate to see good opportunities missed. This one will be remembered for the wrong reasons. Grrrrrrrr Cincinnati Patti Boomer PS: The ads were not good. Not even sure what some were trying to sell, although I did like the one with Barbieâs Dream House in the current real estate market. Rocket Mortgage got her past Cash Carl somehow??? and then Ken showed up to help move. I think he said something about his glutes. Geez, Ken, itâs not always about you. |
certainly wasn't a half time show that I enjoyed....I ended up putting it on mute

The broadcast media popular culture is designed to drive rational people mad :)
It is a non-stop freak show by design. It's for midwit massman. |

Thank goodness there is music out there for everyone not just just for stuffy peeps My take is they kept it clean, the stage was pretty cool and they donât go over the top, so for that music genre it was a great show. |

Boomers Fading
The Baby Boom generation is no longer the largest demographic group. There are now more Millenials. Several years ago, our music gradually disappeared from commercials.

Respect others taste in music. People born in the 90's most likely enjoyed it. If you think that music is what's wrong with this country, open your eyes!

Oh who doesnât love Snoop Doggie
I have him on 8 track in my car.

If anything what you should be upset about is the NFL pandering to BLM without any knowledge, other than knee jerk reaction, of what the entire issue is about. The alleged inequality and I say alleged since that 'divide' wasn't there several years ago, it was invented and pushed as an issue by the millennial generation. Most of these artists, are excellent musicians as well. It is their choice to use it in this manner, the fact that no one can understand what all the words are is besides the point. Which is the main reason I dislike hiphop, aside from content. I'm not appreciative of music containing the 7 words George Carlin couldn't say on TV. I feel a lot is lost and it's just too easy to write. Yet keep in mind it's extremely wrong for any of us to use the "N word" yet it is entirely ok for them to. |

I actually like a lot of the newer music. Most of my Spotify playlist I use for running is newer stuff. An open mind is a healthy mind. Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. |

I don't even waste my time anymore watching the nba and nfl. Those two leagues have become very racist.

I explained to you my police background and how I am against those lyrics, but then I'm Caucasian and don't have the same experiences some African Americans do. I enjoyed Eminem and Mary J Blige, but didn't understand a word of the rap. I also didn't like last years half time show that was so highly sexualized with J Lo and Shakira. It escapes me that female performers feel they must perform like that to be successful. |

Could have been worse. Could have had Neil Young.

I guess they have some H.S. kid hired for half time entertainment. I agree what joke! Maybe ratings will go down!

Every generation makes the same criticism of the music of yore. A know itâs very comfortable to stay in your âbubbleâ, however, stop showing your age and open your ears. Just like anything, not ALL musicians are thugs or troublemakers. A lot of old school hip hop reflects personal life experiences.
