Default Travel restrictions

Do you think the Feds will shut down travel to Florida? Will we be restricted from travel?

No. Besides, states have a lot of power and even the feds can't dictate to or ignore a big state like Florida.

Is Florida the only state that a travel ban is being considered?

I plan to visit my youngest son & family - they live near L.A. Califonia - in coming months (I will have my second Covid vaccine shot in 3 weeks). If they stupidly shut down travel in/out of Florida, I would somehow make it to Mexico and sneak across the border, then on to L.A. See? done.

Default It's nature's way - cruel but effective!

How about this approach to COVID? Allow the disease to work its way through the population and let the chips fall where they may. It is only deadly for those who have serious underlying health issues and just a nuisance for the rest of us. Permit Darwinism and nature to do their work. Nature is just trying to weed out the defective humans to improve the species and control the population.

We humans try to counteract Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection by passively and/or actively embracing reverse eugenics. Our misguided social programs support those who are lazy or unfit for work and allow them to reproduce like rabbits raising litters of babies who grow up to be lazy and unfit and then the cycle repeats. Finding cures for medical issues allows humans that are predisposed to an illness or condition to live and multiply.

It is only a matter of time before the human race suffers widespread hunger, dissolution of world order and possible if not probable extinction from overpopulation. It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!

Finally, a concise, cogent assessment. Thank you and ditto! You paid attention in your zoology classes!

Can't you just imagine requiring that snowbirds and tourists to places like the Orlando theme parks remain in FL until the president says it is okay to leave and return home? lolololol

Never was considered no discussed. Folks seem to like to rant about lies being bandied about.

The Biden administration confirmed there is no plan nor consideration of a travel ban to quell the spread of the COVID-19 UK variant, despite a news report hinting that there is one.

Despite a headline that reads, “White House looks at domestic travel restrictions as COVID mutation surges in Florida,” the text of the article indicates no such detail.

The Miami Herald article published Wednesday afternoon quotes a White House official answering a question about the virus UK mutation: “...we’re having conversations about anything that would help mitigate spread.”

Several paragraphs later, the article quotes two other officials clarifying that “...no policy announcements are imminent, and that any move to restrict travel or impose new health measures would be taken in partnership with state and local governments.” No such contact has been initiated with Florida state nor local governments. But the headline, amplified nationwide, sparked a harsh, politically-tinged public backlash from Florida leaders at all levels who were unaware that no travel ban is under consideration.

Would be nice to know who is going to have long term symptoms post-Covid.

My 42 year old once super fit brother who has permanent lung damage...... can’t talk without coughing. He was asymptomatic, didn’t even know he had it until his work random tested. Now diagnosed with “long haul” post-Covid. There are hundreds of thousands with it.

How about headaches every day? Six months after you recover from what ya thought was a simple case of Covid. And the docs can’t fix it.

Long haul post Covid hits about 1 in 5.

It’s a free society.
We’re free to spread it
We’re free to get it

Travel ban? No need.

Are people not tired of this stuff ?

Do not people want to discuss real, factual issues based on real honest facts, or just make stuff up.
We'll see. Yesterday's comments from anonymous officials resulted in today's denials but could be followed by tomorrow's inconvenient reality. We'll see.
