This is BIG news nationally because of Florida's money-making tourist industry and as an example of how to handle state public health. We are fortunate that our leaders are now putting out the word about the increased need for the public to become fully vaccinated. Florida's reliance on its tourist industry has been a driving force toward its determination to have top public health care. And Florida's senior voting block also demands it.

...so why are our leaders leaving the southern border open to C-19 infected immigrants? Then shipping them off to many parts of FL? The northern border is still closed.

In Florida, only 47% of the population is fully vaccinated as the state is seeing an average of 55.1 daily new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people, the highest rate in the country, according to data from the Brown School of Public Health. And according to the Florida Department of Health's weekly COVID-19 report, the number of new COVID-19 cases nearly doubled in the state last week from the prior week."

I read a few minutes ago that AdventHealth Orlando and it’s many satellite hospitals have, at present, if I recall correctly, about 760 beds occupied by COVID patients. NOW! Not last fall.

I’m scheduled for a weeklong Bluegrass Cruise in January. I only booked because vaccinations were required. If the governor bans requiring vaccinations for cruises, I will definitely cancel. No way I would go on a cruise with unvaccinated people and sit in crowded little rooms playing music.

I have experienced Red Tide and it is NASTY. It is worse in St.Peter and Clearwater, which are closer to the Gulf. The beaches are littered with dead fish and coughing HUMANS. Many are, however, asymptomatic and do NOT cough but the SMELL of dead fish drives them off of the beach.

That's a question for another thread that would get shut down PDQ.
Always makes you wonder why some people can't handle the truth.

Did a quick google search on the case number at the top of the declaration. That exact case number appears on cases filed 5/19/21, 6/10/21, and 7/19/21. Now possibly the 7/19 filing was more information pertaining to the original 5/19 case. I found it notable that America's Frontline Doctors is the first plaintiff in the case and the very first footnote in the case is, in my paraphrasing, "this is not a vaccine."
Thanks for saving me the time...

I figured it was BS once I read that it was associated with a lawyer and a class action suit...

If you bothered to reads this thread, you would know that Florida is a whopping 1% point behind the national average in vaccination rates...

CV and Red Tide seem to have similarities, likely due to the attacking of the lungs by non-complex organisms. Both CV and Red Tide have documented long-haul symptoms. Many people do NOT have any red tide symptoms, like asymptomatic CV types. However, I am NOT aware of any red tide deaths to humans, just many sea creatures. The various Chambers of Commerce are unhappy about both red tide and CV - attempts are made to keep both out of the newspapers. Dead fish on the beach are cleaned up by earth-moving equipment often. It would be advisable for TVLanders to avoid the Gulf until the fall if possible.

Apparently no matter how any of the information is presented there is a group of anti-VAX folks that find fault with everything that’s reported.

Let’s get to the bottom line, COVID-19 is on the rise due to the variant and the millions with in the population that have refused, are afraid of, just don’t care about getting a vaccine. That’s the bottom line.

I'm pro vaccine, have been vaccinated (even tho I previously had covid) and I'm having serious problems with what's being reported...

Care to back up that claim?

Nationwide hospitalizations are up 3 times recently due to the Delta variant. And deaths are up 2 times in recent weeks. That is for a week-to-week comparison.
