Let's say the survival rate is 99%, that's "well over 90%," right? At a survival rate of of 99% if the virus is left unchecked you could anticipate ONLY 3,300,000 deaths (about five times what we have right now).

Are 3,300,000 dead Americans acceptable to you?

In Florida, only 47% of the population is fully vaccinated as the state is seeing an average of 55.1 daily new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people, the highest rate in the country, according to data from the Brown School of Public Health. And according to the Florida Department of Health's weekly COVID-19 report, the number of new COVID-19 cases nearly doubled in the state last week from the prior week."

Do you really care how the chicken pox was propagated?

Now let us not rush on this. Maybe it would be best if people from NY, MA, IL etc remained in the states that keep their mask mandates and other restrictions. If they want to be safe that would be best.

We could save so many lives by lowering all roadways max speed to 50. Make cigarettes illegal. Bring back prohibition. Unless you do not care about children killed in auto accidents or second hand smoke. Are their deaths meaningless to you?

Where did you hear such a thing?

And what does any of that have to do with Covid or the presumption that "well over 90%" is an acceptable number?

If you want to start another thread on speed limits, smoking, or drinking then I might comment there.

That's what you told all of us people who believed in science when we all started telling YOU to wear masks. You told us to stay home so we can't infect anyone with the hoax virus, and you were going to go and live your lives however you wanted.

Well the tables have turned. It's your turn now. Stay home, or get sick. Your choice. I'm going to live my life how I see fit. I'm vaccinated.
Haven't recent studies shown that as Dr Fauci said in the beginning of covid, masks really offer very little protection? As far as you living your life as you see fit, good for you. I'm sure you feel the same for other people as well, correct?

Default No Sirens

We live near The Villages Regional Hospital. A good indicator of whether the hospital ER and ICU are full is when the ambulances with sirens and the helicopters stop coming to the hospital. Even though TVRH is a trauma center, when they’re full, they advise the EMS services to go elsewhere. That’s what seems to have happened.

It’s been quiet now for several days, like it was during the peak of COVID infections several months ago. With Florida accounting for 20% of all the new cases in the entire U.S., it’s pretty easy to understand why the hospital might not be accepting any new patients.

Are all the town squares still full of maskless dancing and drinking Villagers every night? Good luck.

The vaccines are 95% effective. J+J less. This has ALWAYS been stated and known. But you would not be AS SICK or die if you got a “breakthrough” case. Smarten up and follow the science.
