If you ingest the virus the acids in your stomach will kill it. There was never a concern with that. Inhaling into the lungs or contamination through the eyes (which is connected to your nasal passage) was/is the issue.

Just shut up about the virus and the masks, ENOUGH!

Interesting tidbits on covid 19

Studies pending peer review (per Fauci) show the following:

Pfizer and Moderna are effective vs SA and UK variants. SA may have less antibody that’s effective, but it’s still effective nonetheless.

The vaccine lowers risk of death by 99%. With half a million Americans dead from this, that’s enormous. It prevents the disease at a 95% clip. There are many, many people who didn’t die but have long term effects from covid. 95% prevention should limit the long hauler syndrome. And those who get the disease who’ve been vaccinated carry a far lower viral load as to potentially not be contagious. That would also lend credence to the theory that if you get the vaccine, you’re not going to be a “silent carrier”, something that hasn’t been debunked as of yet.

Very intrigued to see the data on this, but if the above is true and stands up to scrutiny, then my expectation is that we have the vehicle to stop this pandemic and eventually get back to normal. It will take a long time to do so as the manufacturing of the vaccine is taking time and the delivery on a state by state basis has been rocky. No data yet on how long the immunity from the vaccine lasts and I kinda don’t want to find that out anytime soon (that means that test subjects still show antibody to this day and onward).

Side effects have been limited to immediate post injection illness and usually resolve 24 hours post injection. I haven’t seen many case reports of autoimmune processes which have been reported at incredibly low rates with seasonal flu vaccines.

My only advice to everyone is we are in the home stretch, get your vaccine as quickly as you can and stay distanced until that time. Wait until two weeks post vaccine #2 and go from there. For now, us vaccinated need to mask up until the data is clear, reviewed and there’s a consensus on lack of transmission, but I expect that very soon. I look forward to a day when we don’t have to have covid on the brain for normal activities. Stay safe all

Well, you may not be a yahoo but you certainly sound like a spokesman for some of the teacher's unions. We refuse to work until the entire world is vaccinated. It's not safe for the kids unless we get full pay while not working, billions of unnecessary tax dollars in the coming years and the elimination of all private and charter schools. It's for the kids.......

As far as I'm concerned, these teacher unions are nothing more than cowards and child abusers.

Have there been any studies on whether any of these vaccines prevent the "we've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty" calls? So far, masks and distancing haven't helped.

People - if you are vaccinated you are not getting a severe case ... you are protected. Relax. The rumors are not real.

What science has been wrong the whole time? What do you base that on (studies, numbers, papers, anything other than facebook)?

Where did you get the 99.9% chance of recovery number? Please post a link to the source.

You are stating that the vaccines will stop the virus from killing us??? How about the people who have died after getting a vaccination? Two friends of mine were told by their doctor that they must be vaccinated at a hospital since people have died from heart attacks after being vaccinated because they didn’t have access to resuscitation equipment. There are so many different , constantly changing , stories floating around that we don’t know who to believe! Who told you that people who get the vaccine can still get the virus and spread it to others? Fauci has changed his stories over and over again!! First he tells us not to bother wearing a mask because they don’t stop the virus from getting through them, then he says wear a mask to make people feel safer and now he tells us to wear two masks!! And you trust the information coming from this so-called professional??? How about the 50 medical establishments in Florida that were caught falsifying the number of covid deaths to qualify for higher Medicare payments? ( They classified deaths from auto and motorcycle accidents , heart attacks, cancer deaths and more as deaths from covid!!). When challenged, the constant excuse was “ clerical errors”. Why have the number of reported flu cases and deaths dropped to nearly zero?? Could it be they are also are being classified as covid cases and deaths? Financial profit is a strong incentive to falsify information. No wonder so many people have lost trust in any covid information coming from the mouths of so-called medical “professionals”. You may have received some of this misinformation as well.

I agree with about 90% of what was said there. But, I believe that some people have been found the got their vaccine and had the necessary antibodies and then sometime later caught more CV and ended up in a hospital. I remember hearing that on one of the "normal news" TV channels. It apparently does not happen to many people. And there is still some uncertainty as to whether a fully vaccinated person can NOT spread CV. Most likely that IS true but, last I heard Medical Science was STILL researching it. That's why Dr. Fauci did NOT that to be absolutely true. He seemed to WANT to say it, but, he seemed to want more research done. He knows that his opinions get so much media coverage that he must NOT make educated guesses. The Japanese apparently have done extensive research on BOTH of these questions. The question of how long protection lasts is, also, still being researched. And the US may (?) get hit with one or more of the new variants. So, in summary, much is still unknown about the CV Pandemic.

Aw, it’s so nice to hear from the sheep. COVID COVID COVID, without COVID most people on this thread would have no reason to live. Their entire existence revolves around COVID. Meanwhile the non sheep are living life to its fullest, having fun, smiling without a mask, conversing with other human being while using common sense.

This post is hard to understand. Is the idea to advocate that people do NOT get a 2nd SHOT of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine? If so, that is not wonderful advice. And the Texas windmills froze up because unlike the standard further north, Texas was too cheap to buy freeze-proof graphite/ fiberglass BLADES or have blades with heating elements installed. Texas screwed up!

We are in the middle of a 100 year event known as a global pandemic. It is natural for people to discuss everything related to this as it effects our lives.

Honestly, rather than complaining about the subject matter that is very compelling to many folks, just don't click on the thread. Easy peasy.
