It's ONLY when something is meant to "denigrate, demean, negatively stereotype or represents an abhorrent past," when the recipients and victims of that denigration, negative stereotyping and/or disgusting past...are pointing it out and asking that it stop.

I just have to shake my head in wonderment/disgust and ask WHY is there so much rage, vitriol & umbrage of things, that at their core...should be agreed with by decent people?

Most know why that is and are just fine with it and many others, simply refuse to acknowledge...and/or have no interest in simple decency. :ohdear:

Personally, I'm so truly afraid that in the course of this summer yet another major "incident" will occur. Heaven knows some protesters are continually instigating action across the country and testing LEO, and Law Enforcement is on edge and strained.

Hot weather, unemployment, COVID, desire to vent and loot = huge flareups.

All that will need is another spark, and watch out folks. 2020 could easily become the new '60's and race war.

Unbelievably sad and concerning that a majority of politicians and community leaders are doing little to help issues we are facing - but fan the flames. With so little said by the Media about the ongoing crime, violence, and B on B killings in minority neighborhoods in our cities.

Reminds me of the recent brush fires across Australia. It only takes a few flying embers to start huge engulfing fires.

Glad we have our Villages dome, but....

I recall when I was young, Crayloa had a crayon named "FLESH". (Of course), it was a "caucasion" color. Even back then in my youth, I thought... hmmm, that's odd.

I had to goggle to ensure my "today memory" on that was clear. yep>

The Crayola Crayon color name flesh was changed to peach in 1962. Although flesh was included in the original box of 64 Crayola Crayons, we felt it would be insensitive to include it in the commemorative box.

THAT color name was SO WRONG, and Crayola changed it. Fast forward to 2020, and names, statues, etc etc that are a huge stretch to think they may be "racist"... are??? So IMO - what WAS the absolute CORRECT thing to do, NOW is WHAT???? and discredits the ones that want to right (what they may feel are) wrong.
