Covid Panic Porn
On July 10th we were presented with a new thread which began:

It is that a whole lot more people are dying of Covid. Today was the highest new reported number of deaths, over 250. That's not panic porn. That's 253 Floridians whose death was reported today from Covid. And over 200 yesterday. So that surge in cases is now, as expected by people who recognize the seriousness of Covid, resulting in a surge in deaths This graphic is from clickorlando.com |

I don’t understand why anyone would not take it seriously. People are dying, it’s not a joke.

The problem is in Florida. Do you only care about your little piece? I care about all of the people and families impacted by Covid. I even care about non-Floridians.

Fauci: "New York did it right"
Deaths per million residents: New York City: 3872 New York State: 1680 Florida: 303 As long as Fauci does not give us any compliments, we should be ok. Reporter: Boss, Florida's new cases seems to be going down Editor: No worries, we'll go with new deaths, use the scary charts, not the date of death ones scientists use. Reporter: But if cases keep going down, won't the deaths come down in a few weeks? Editor: No worries, we'll go back to scare stories about how schools are dangerous Reporter: But European schools have been open with no problems, Sweden kept their schools open and had zero deaths under 19, only 53 covid cases per 100k teachers and they can't say they caught it in the classroom. Editor: We'll keep that under wraps, the virus is different here and the teachers unions will come up with some bogus scare studies and we can promote day care for kids in empty classrooms with adult supervisors which is much safer. Reporter: Okay then, as long as I keep getting my paycheck. When can I start writing good news stories? Editor: After November Last edited by GoodLife; 07-30-2020 at 06:46 PM. |

With a respectful note of disagreement, I believe most people know exactly why it isn't taken seriously. As some high profile cases, and sadly deaths, plus drastically upwardly revised projections for this year have shown in the last few days though, it's definitely not a joke. Nor do I think it's a joke, that a lot of people want our young children, their teachers, bus drivers, school security, etc., to be used as test subjects for the goal of reaching a mythical 'herd immunity' for a nation of this size, without a sound national plan and defined procedures on how to achieve "getting back to normal."

Chartology 101
Media scare chart: Media loves these day of reporting charts, makes things look really bad, even though the headlines screams "deadliest day ever" all the deaths did not happen that day, most were earlier dates Charts scientists and epidemiologists use are based on date of actual death. See the difference? Same chart without the colors (from Florida Dashboard) CDC also uses more scientific date of death charts. Anyone who try's to tell you the media charts are scientific is clueless. When the media says Florida is the next New York they are clueless too. |

[QUOTE=GoodLife;1810924]Fauci: "New York did it right"
Deaths per million residents: New York City: 3872 New York State: 168 Florida: 303BAs long as Fauci does not give us any compliments, we should be ok. Goodlife......Looking at the CDC covid data tracker, I see New York City deaths per million at 2800, New York State (excluding NYC) deaths per million at 790. Looking at total cases, the totals are about equal. But, looking at the last 7 days, New York State plus New York City total is 4,649. Florida's 7 day total is 71,331. New York had a lot of deaths early in the outbreak, when they didn't know how to treat it. But, they've learned how to reduce the number of cases. |

In other words. Those charts with the death numbers going down, count back 14 days and know those numbers will likely go up. The highest number of deaths is 13 days ago, and that number could get bigger. |

The propaganda lies by the mercenary media continues to keep everyone in panic mode. Their purpose is to destroy our beautiful country and our enemies are gleefully watching and waiting.

Herman Cain didn't take Covid 19 seriously. He wouldn't wear a mask and attended a large convention with many people in an indoor arena. He is dead now. When are people going to wake up and smell the coffee. Wear a mask, maintain social distancing, avoid large crowded indoor areas, and wash your hands often with soap and water. I have been saying this since February and have had a lot of negative criticism in March, April, May and June. Finally I am seeing people starting to listen.

Followed by an imaginary dialog between news-persons??? Maybe this one is just as valid: Non-MSM influencer: How can I get people to believe that this virus response has been part of a conspiracy?? Some Doctor/Scientist: Here are beautiful, colorful charts that can be used for any argument you like. Sweden looks pretty good, wouldn't you say? Influencer: Love the charts, but some evidence shows that Sweden wasn't particularly successful in stopping Covid-19 deaths compared to other nations. Dr./Scientist: Then stop comparing them to only those nations! There must be US states that had worse results. Throw them into the conversation as a diversion. Influencer: Some say that there are too many differences between Swedish & US people, such as their cultures, overall health, etc. Shouldn't that be taken into account? Dr./Scientist: Influencer: Point taken. More charts & graphs please! |
