Interesting point and I think your observation is spot on. Fact of the matter is, this virus is uncontrollable. The best chance we would have had to perhaps limit the damage it would cause was by China when the virus first escaped into the general public.

You can be as upset as you want at Trump, Fauci, Biden (take your pick) but in reality it's China that should be getting 100% of the blame. Our partisan news media and politics are so absurd these days that instead of blaming the real culprit, we're blaming ourselves.

Sure agree with you. I don’t (AtAll) listen to his advice. I see my family when I want
NOT when someone like Fauci says I can. Our country has to wake up SOON

I now feel that he is a Media hog, bends to political influence, and does not consider other factors impacting our overall "Health". There are many of Faucci quotes during the past 12 months that are confusing and erroneous.

But NOW I agree with Rubio> "Dr. Fauci is a very good public-health official. His job is to advise policy makers and inform the public," Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said on Tuesday. "But his job is NOT to decide what we can do, where we can go or which places can open or close And his job is NOT to mislead or scare us into doing the 'right things.'"

And his floundering of opening schools and lockdowns- terrible.

But his LATEST --- Fauci on Sunday declined to say on CNN that grandparents who are fully vaccinated could see their grandchildren, saying "I don't want to be making a recommendation now on public TV. I would want to sit down with the team, take a look at that."

So, if Faucci represents "Science", that's fine - but just as important to the Medical HEALTH of US citizens is Financial Health and Emotional Health. I don't believe that he takes everything into consideration for us all in terms of OVERALL Health.

Side note> Do you know that Faucci makes more in salary than the US President?[/QUOTE

Dr. Fauci’s job is supposed to be to recommend to the president a course of action based solely on medical or scientific evidence. This is only one input. The president then has to listen to his economic, education military advisors etc. and way all of these factors in creating a public policy. This is a no win situation for any, and I mean any president. What good is a perfectly healthy country If the country is destroyed economically, or our kid are left seriously behind and mentally broken. Unfortunately, Dr Fauci has reached a point where he cannot pass a camera by and believes he is in charge of public policy.
This was the original OP. Don’t know we’re my comment went.

So do I.. With over 500,000 Americans dead it is truly incredible and sad that many people on this forum continue to question public health measures and the advice from Dr, Fauci. Wake up people - America has the worst death toll of all developed countries because leaders and a large slice of the population refused to advocate for or follow common-sense public health measures.

He is part of the deep state, his job is to spread fear and a progressive agenda. Period.

I guess his examples of playing it safe included the time he sat side by side people at a baseball game with no mask on...while preaching to the country they couldn’t hug their own grandchildren...

I know that you want to believe this - but he hasn't kept us alive for the past year and if you believe he has, he has also said that even if everyone was vaccinated we would still be wearing our masks, washing or hands, social distancing, and those with grandchildren would still not be able to see them.

I wear my mask (in public), I was my hands frequently and even when I should based on our "before Covid life", I social distance. I still go to the grocery store, the general stores I need to go to, restaurants, and family events. I know of large, large, large communities of people who aren't eligible for the vaccination because of their age who do the same. None have been hit with Covid unless they didn't know. The only people I know who have had it - stayed home, some ordered and picked up groceries wearing their masks the entire way in a car by themselves, they have walked outside with their masks on to get their mail or paper, and been alone every day all day. I feel very sad for them because they were too scared to do anything but still ended up with Covid.

Who knows the answers, even some of them? I don't believe Fauci does. I believe that right now he has the little-man syndrome - a little man, who sat by himself, who now has the world listening to him, and people dying everywhere who did.

Science? You mean subjective opinions? People love throwing that word science out there, as if they are the scientist...

As a sidenote... WHY does the Media typically call the variants of Covid-19:

B.1.1.7, a.k.a. the U.K. variant. This strain, which was first detected in England, has a large number of mutations. The virus has since been detected around the world, including in the U.S.

B.1.351, a.k.a. the South African variant. This variant has some mutations in common with B.1.1.7,The variant was first detected in South Africa and was reported in the U.S. at the end of January.

P.1, a.k.a. the Brazilian variant. This variant was first detected in four travelers from Brazil The variant was detected in the U.S. at the end of January.

BUT most of the Media, and Fauci NEVER calls Covid-19 "The CHINA virus".

hmmm, one person always referred to the China Virus as the China Virus. hmmm. And as I recall when he did, much of the Media condemend that. And China did (and still does) NOT admit Covid-19 BEGAN in Wuhan. WHO, after a year, sent a delegation there to investigate the origins. ONE YEAR AFTER!!! And China Communist Media still asserts that Covid-19 began elsewhere - even from the USA.

Perhaps some are afraid to lay blame to China??? Even after killing over 500K Americans? Are some covering for China???

Dragging their feet with J&J - yep, keeps the money where he wants it, in his pocket.

I call him Dr. Fakkchi. He reminds me of judge Lance Ito from OJ Simpsons trial. This guy is more interested in TV time than anything else

If that is happening, I do not agree with that at all. It has happened here before. It happens to me a lot.
Free speech is a wonderful thing, even though we don't all agree.

Anthony Fauci is someone I trust to give us advice about viruses and how they effect the public. He has advised Presidents since Ronald Reagan. He is skilled in science, but is human as well and not above giving his opinions sometimes on subjects unrelated to medicine. I think he has done very well for himself as a short guy from Brooklyn.

Dr. Faki has kept us alive. WOW, your drinking a lot of the kool aide
