I believe that people have the right to own a gun for both protection and sport. I just struggle with all the deaths that have occurred by someone using a rapid fire weapon. It’s just how I feel.
Oh - and I 100% believe that you should have to show an ID to vote!!!!

Wrong. You may still own a machine gun if allowed in your state. FL is one of these states. A FFL is the easiest way to obtain one, along with money to pay for it. The machine gun must be registered with the Federal government though.

Nope. Perfectly legal to own a fully auto machine gun. Just do the required paperwork and it's yours.

Of course it'll cost a pretty penny, but it perfectly legal...

But could you tell me who was talking about fully automatic weapons?

I know I wasn't...

Where exactly, is this happening? And what in the world does it have to do with wearing a mask?

Would you feel better if the said "nut job" was wearing a mask?

When was the last time someone used a machine gun in a crime?

Based on my internet search it says that you can own a machine gun if it was made before 1981. Plus it takes 3 -5 months to process. And there are a few additional hoops to jump through.
I’m just saying.... I’m not a fan of rapid fire weapons. That is my opinion.

I can’t think of a time. I think that’s a good thing.
Someone was talking about 2nd Amendment rights and I pointed out the difficulty of owning a machine gun. Personally, I would be fine with having the same regulations for all rapid fire weapons as machine guns.

I’ll tell you what, I’d be just fine with having the same restrictions that are on machine guns put on all rapid fire weapons.
So see... I can compromise!!

As long as the restrictions were enforced, sure. Unfortunately many of the laws and restrictions aren't enforceable. What they need to do is remove the rules that -can't- be enforced, and create ones that can.

And enforce consequences for violations, which are absolutely not enforced equally among all violators.

Please explain what exactly is a "rapid fire weapon"?

The rate of fire is determined by how fast you can pull the trigger...

One trigger pull = One BANG!

What laws and restrictions "aren't enforceable"?

Why don't you already know the answer to this?

Because there is a difference between laws the "aren't enforceable" and laws that simply "aren't enforced"...

You made the claim that there are laws that "can't" be enforced. I asked you to please cite those laws...

The way our country is heading we better be prepared. Within a few years the media and our current leaders will remove those big, bad police and our guns. Then the criminals will be in charge.

Apparently so.

And some people actually believe the narrative that AR, as in AR-15, stands for Assault Rifle.

Which of course, is a pure fabrication and an attempt to brainwash the populous.
