So anyone know of someone who has a child or friends that is of the “Pride” community? Guessing or really hoping it would be a “NO”.
One worries about ad placement, while mental health, and gun violence is on the rise. That’s what worries me, those who need help and can’t or won’t get it. Those who choose to destroy lives just for fun. Ad placement doesn’t has never made me run out and buy something, or stop buying something that I have bought for years. I have to ask if your child, or grandchild is of a different lifestyle, than you believe in, would you disown them, hate them, make them disappear from your life, as if they didn’t exist? |
As a young kid, my Grandma knitted my first swimming trunks.
Looked passable when dry. Wet?:ohdear: Plenty of crotch space, and my knees were well protected from the sun which was a bonus. Never been a beach person since. Scarred for life. |

But a parent might assist them with getting help. :sigh: |
None of this debate matters to me or affects my life.
Well, except for one thing. Advertising is EVERYWHERE, and its meant to be. Some of it is meant to be subliminal, most is meant to be right in your face and in a big way. Corporations spend billions of dollars on this curious thing called advertising, because they know it works to sell their products. The people that say "it doesn't affect you, just let it go" are brainwashed fools that can't think for themselves. These corporations need to take the "negative results, as well as, the positive results" of their advertising dollars spent. I will decide how to spend my money the way I see fit, and apparently a lot of Americans are realizing we can affect how companies project themselves to us. We are the vast majority, with the vast majority of money to spend. Be careful what you wish for. |

A couple real estate brokers I have bought properties from are gay men. I could go on but won't. These and others are fine folks. |

And yes, I have several friends, and friends with children who are part of the "Pride Community"... Not sure why you would guess or hope I didn't... I have zero desire to "disown them, hate them, make them disappear from my life, as if they didn’t exist"... Quick story... We have friends, who's son is gay. I've know him since he was a baby... When he "came out" his parents called to tell us. My response was "I know"... They were surprised and asked how I knew. I replied, "because I know Josh! I've know him forever..." The said, "We just wanted to make sure you were okay with it..." I replied "No one cares, he just Josh..." A few months later we went to Iceland with that couple. On every single tour, at every single restaurant, they felt the need to ask, "How is it for gay people here, in Iceland?" They got the exact same answer, each and every time. "No one cares". Yet, they felt the need to keep asking... It became a bit much after a while... Seems to me, THEY were the ones with issues about their son... |
