They fare much better in general than US citizens in categories including heart disease, diabetes, HBP & stroke - all supposed contributing factors to COVID deaths. They are also 'happier' than the US, ranking #7 in the world to our #19. With these factors taken into consideration, the Swedes didn't do all that well, it would seem.
Comparing Sweden to NY is also specious, at best. NY population is over 19 million, Sweden (with 5593 COVID deaths) is closer to Michigan (6355 deaths) or North Carolina (1606 deaths) in population at a bit over 10 million.

Graph is deaths per million. This means it is adjusted for POPULATION. New York is 2nd highest in the world, after New Jersey with over 1700 deaths per million. Sweden doesn't even make the top ten in the world. Swedes are happier than us? Bwahhaahha The virus doesn't care. Forget about the fact that many US states had far higher death rates per million than Sweden while they imposed lockdowns and masks, what's your theory for why the rise and fall of cases and deaths looks exactly the same?

I haven't been inside any buildings other than home for over 3 months. Outside I stay at least 20 feet from other people. No need for mask and yes, I bet my life on actual science and data that shows cloth masks don't really work. Did you read post #14 and the link? Most transmission of the virus occurs from particles too small for cloth masks to work. That's why I don't go inside any buildings.

The conservative SCOTUS Justice Scalia said very clearly any right can be regulated. PERIOD.

Public safety, as determined by the government can override ANY right you claim to have. Even those you make up - see, there is no right to not wear a mask.

It doesn't exist.

Your understanding of the United States Constitution has turned that document on "its head". The Constitution doesn't limit citizens in their rights, it proscribes what the federal government is authorized to do … PERIOD! In other words, if it ain't in there, the government is NOT authorized to do it. Now we all know that the federal government has usurped many powers not delegated to it but, as the Tenth Amendment states, The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. If you were to peruse the federal Constitution or the constitutions of the state in question, you would find NO such power delegated to the particular government entity. We could discuss, at length, whether the "government" might assume these powers in a "martial law" situation, but, that is a discussion for another thread/time. Nevertheless, your premise is upside down regarding the rights of citizens - the government has NO such power unless it is proscribed in the constitution of the state or the federal Constitution. Stating "there is no right to not wear a mask" presumes that if it is not enumerated within the document, then the citizen has NO right to that action; the constitution places limits on the government, not the citizens! Unfortunately, you are not alone in your misunderstanding of the Constitution, you have much company :ohdear:
