We have wonderful dentist (Baylee Dental, Baylee Plaza) that accepts NO insurance, you pay them, they give you a detailed receipt that you send to your insurance company, and the insurance company pays you. When I had dental coverage this worked fine, we no longer have coverage, so we just pay as we go. Still using Baylee Dental.

I just checked with the Delta Dental website. I have Delta Dental PPO too. According to their website there are 193 general dentists within 15 miles of my house that accept the plan.

I'm up in the northeast corner of the Villages, on the other side of 441. My dental group is Lifetime Dentistry, on 441 next door to Aldi's. They're pretty awesome. Though the dentist is a man (Dr. Altoos), the staff is all female that I've seen. They have a fairly robust practice but I never feel crowded or rushed.

Lifetime dentistry takes Delta insurance. That is what I have too. It's on 441 near the Lowe's.

I contacted Delta Dental by phone and they emailed a list of participating dentists in my zip code 32163. I’ve called many on the list and their office staff tells me they are not in-house providers. They all say pay as you go. I’m used to getting a pre approval from Delta Dental and then dentist submits the service rendered.

No surprise. My dentist of 12 years just dropped out of the Delta network because of the low "allowable fees". Now I'll have to pay their price in advance and get the meager reimbursement.
