Now I know what all those things were on the back of everybody's golf cars. How do you sit/use them?

After snipping off the excess zip-tie material, I smooth the sharp edge with a nail file or sandpaper. That minimizes the chance of getting scratched.

Can you just buy a noodle chair? Or is that against the rules?

Per the VCDD Recreation Pool guidelines:

- Family pools - "Noodles, unbreakable masks, goggles, and small plastic buckets are the only items allowed in the pool. ........ Approved lifevests are permitted. Infant and toddler flotation devices are allowed with adult supervision."

- Neighborhood (adult) pools - "Noodles, unbreakable masks, and goggles are the only items allowed in the pool."

The above is from p. 3: http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/a...es/recnews.pdf

I'd think anything comprised of just noodles would pass muster.

This is awesome! We have always had above ground pools, and the kids are always wanting to 1) make something and 2) get new rafts. We all know that traditional rafts are pretty expensive, but from the above post we can all see that this is cheap! What a great idea...I would have never thought to make my own!
