Default Garage door opens ????

Garage door opener must be on same frequency as a neighbours Remote as often the garage door opens suddenly.

How do I fix this problem.

Thoughts /ideas welcome.

Thank you.

I had to call the manufacturer...they gave me a process to "reprogram" the receiver and remotes. After about three tries, it appears to have worked. <crosses fingers>

I had the similar experience
Lasted few days
Once I took the remote out of my front pants pocket problem was solved
Not every time but 2 or 3 times when I bent over it would activate the opener

We called the Warranty office and they sent someone out to take care of it for us.

When we first got here, that happened to us. One day, it actually came down on the car. Romax came out and said it must have been me putting the door down as I was driving. TV did not stand behind me even though we had called on this prior to that incident. It was so obvious the way the bar at the bottom of the door was bent that it was the door coming down versus me backing into. I was not happy. And yes, it has something to do with others nearby on your frequency.

Some ideas here are nice if you're still under warranty...if not google the mfr of your opener on line and within their website will be instructions for reprogramming the remote to a different code...

Your garage door controller wall station has learned your neighbor's transmitter (remote opener) code. This problem has happened to me and several of my neighbors over the years. We all have the MVP Allstar garage door opener systems which is widely used in The Villages. There's a procedure for erasing the codes currently stored in the wall station's memory and then re-learning ONLY your remote's code. Here's a link to the Manual for this unit.

Page 12 has the instructions for erasing and re-learning transmitter codes. You'll also need to re-program your Wireless Keyless Entry keypad. Here's a link to the manual for doing that.
