Default Looking for Lanai ceiling design ideas

I'm thinking of changing up the look of my lanai ceiling and looking for ideas. If you have done this would you post pics of the finished work? thank you.

PS - I can't figure out how to post a pic onto this site. If you have same difficulty maybe you could explain your ceiling project, i.e. led lights, new fans, paint color, texture, wood/vinyl...

I had vinyl bead board installed on my lanai ceiling. I did NOT install this myself.

Wde have crown molding mounted 6 inches away from thje cielng, with multicolor led strips pointing up, this give indicate colored lighting under remote control. Send a PM with your email and I will send photos, day time and nioght time. This was a DIY project that took much longder than i expected in some areas due to the construction of the typical lanai. LEDs have been in place for several years, i have gone thru several controllers and 2 or 3 power supplies. For our lanai, there are 6 controllers and 6 power supplies, and NO wires to be seen.

Default We had knotty cypress installed.

The knotty cypress was stained with a satin redwood before the boards was installed.

Here are some pictures of ours with the Green LED lights on. The LEDs in the birdcage slowly change color.

Exactly what I was looking for. Did you do that yourself, or hire a contractor? If a contractor, could you share the name?

Brian Terry does fantastic work. They did ours using non-vented soffit, and we couldn't be happier.
