Default TRICARE Prime Providers near Villages

Can anyone recommend a TRICARE Prime Provider? My husband and I do not qualify for TRICARE for life yet and we are in a Prime area but don't know of any Drs in the area. Help Please.

Tricare Prime is no longer available in the Villages area. Everyone here is on Tricare Standard unless you elect to stay in prime and only use Military Hospitals

I have to correct you on this. Not " Everyone " here falls under Tricare Standard, I along with many others in the Villages have Tricare for Life.

Oh dear, I just read the string. I just moved here and mailed my application for Tricare Prime and haven't even heard results yet. I'm not medicare eligible. I entered two primary care provider names in the Tricare Prime application but I suspect that these will be ignored. From the other comments it appears that we need to go to a Military Treatment Facility. I will be very disappointed if all this is true.

MTF is an option if you want to stay in Prime and waive the distance rule. However, the nearest MTF is McDill which is more than 1 1/2 hours away (one way). Tricare Standard seems to work well for folks until TFL kicks in. Another option (which we started using since we lost Prime) is the VA Clinic here in TV.

I called the TRICARE South region and they told me that TRICARE Prime is an option. The only doctors close are in Leesburg.

Default Tricare Prime providers near The Villages

We recently moved to TV. I have Tricare for Life but my wife is on Tricare Prime and uses Leesburg Community Health Center. It's not that far of a drive and she really likes them.
