My daughter lives in Ocala and works at The Villages Hospital. She works Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7am to 7 pm. I currently babysit for her but need to have surgery which will prevent me from babysitting for at least 4 months. My grandson will be 2 in December. Anyone interested in being a grandma substitute or know of a reliable sitter, please let me know.

Finding care for your grandchild should be done through an agency that does criminal background checks, gets references, does drug testing, etc. There is enough news in The Villages that is concerning about people who are of questionable character. Please do everything you can to get a qualified sitter.
I wish you luck and hope your surgery and recovery goes well. I think you may need to raise the amount paid; if I am reading your post correctly that is b/t 100-125 for a 36 (7-7 3 days) that comes out a little less than 3.50 per hour. Something else to consider, will your daughter be providing food for caregiver to feed grandchild? Once again, good luck.

Please heed the advice above. It's very dangerous to post on a public forum looking for someone to take care of your precious grandson. References can be worthless...
