Yeah, and turn your blinker on when making a turn and have your dog stop peeing in my bleep bleep yard - oh the horror!

And, we should design the cars so if you turn on the turn signal and don't turn, they car turns anyway...

Respect the courses please.
I’ve railed on this for over 7 years; don’t you know we have a class of people here that are the privileged entitled and it is beyond them to fix divots, repair ball marks and rake the traps. Lazy a$$ people are what they actually are.

It is not because "some" players don't know.

It is they don't care/not my job/ignorant/inconsiderate and it is not relative to snow birds.

No change in my 18 years here!

Shoot, they are probably the same people that leave their shopping carts out in the middle of parking lots!

Assigning these folks points would not keep them off the courses. Points don't apply to walk-ons, or those sharpshooting a tee time up to 3 days in advance. How about posting their picture at starter shacks? I'm OK with publicly shaming golf slobs.
Or just attach those points to their ID so they can't make a tee time or walk up to the starter. They could still sneak on after hours, but I would simply make it a no trespassing zone after hours unless you have advance permission.

I guess the word is “entitled” - even at the most clubs, the members take pride in their course, and fix ball marks, etc.
It’s people who don’t care, who don’t take pride in what they have access to.

Never post a challenge. Now they will think of ways to blame them.

My guess is that they simply don't know better. Many of the people I get paired with, are new. They are just learning and need to be taught. These are usually the same people that need to know you don't walk on someone's line, or walk around the hole to get your ball out. In some cases you have to call them out on the issue. In others it's a learning opportunity.

As a practice, I'll fix my ball mark and as many others as I can find while I have time. In some cases I make a point to exaggerate things and in others I say something. In most cases, they just didn't know.

We live in a community of older folks. I see on the courses many that cannot bend over to get the ball out of the cup. They have a ball retriever at the end of their putter. How in the world can one expect them to fix anything on the green?
On a side note, one poster here said something about aerated greens and people not fixing divots. After aeration, fixing a divot will do more damage to a green. Try it sometime and you will see.
