Hi Patti,
Sorry to report but my ditto key was not stuck, nor any other key that I am aware of. I just have a magnetic personality that allows the computer to do what it wants, when it wants and how it wants to do it. I am as you can guess, at the hands of my computer. |

Barefoot the Teckie Whiz
Hi,
I thought if I hit either button I would lose the post, so I did not hit either one of them. What do I do after I post a post, then decide to edit it? I know I hit the edit key, but what do I do after that? Just sign me the Genius of Teckie non Technology. I must admit I did feel proud of myself that I was able to figure out how to post, much less post it twice. As for my past, people here know I am a sweet, shy, warm, wallflower person. I think I would like to keep it that way. |

I have visited the same salon for 20 years. My hair stylist is the best and I have always gotten compliments on my hair. Total strangers have stopped to ask who does my hair. The salon often does makeovers on television and does hair and makeup for several television shows. My hair stylist says I can't move because nobody in Florida can do hair.
How do you find a really good hair stylist? Other than flying back every 5 weeks, I don't know of a solution to this problem. |

I've used many different stylists in Florida. Just when I think I've found a crackerjack colorist, and take a picture to show exactly what I want, I end up looking like Molly Carrot Top, and the search resumes. I've used Urban Hair, Root 66 (several different stylists), Color Me, Victoria Hair, and many others. I even tried The Beauty College once where they mistakenly died my hair jet black and then said they didn't know how to fix it. I haven't tried Cal's Barber Shops yet, some people have really good luck there. I'm sure it depends on the stylist. It's kind of like picking a husband. You date a lot of different types, and finally you finally find the man who is perfect for you. Or perhaps he is perfect for a while and then things change. It's such a personal thing. I think we all have to just keep experimenting until we find perfection! |
This is for women who think that their husbands never really listen to them.

Read this thread for the first time this morning - and without a doubt it is the best "stuff" on this chat line. I recently pm'd the female Chairman of the Board and told her I was done with this chat line due to the argumentative and just plain nasty turn this chat line has taken in very recent months. This thread gives me new hope that there are some really decent, unantagonistic and non-argumentative people still hanging around!

A girlfriend sent me this in an email, and I just wanted to share it with my TOTV friends. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ GIRLFRIENDS In an evening class at Stanford University the last lecture was on the mind-body connection - the relationship between stress and disease. The speaker (head of psychiatry at Stanford) said, among other things, that one of the best things that a man could do for his health is to be married to a woman. Whereas for a woman, one of the best things she could do for her health was to nurture her relationships with her girlfriends. At first everyone laughed, but he was serious. Women connect with each other differently and provide support systems that help each other to deal with stress and difficult life experiences. Physically this quality “girlfriend time" helps is to create more serotonin - a neurotransmitter that helps combat depression and can create a general feeling of well-being. Women share feelings whereas men often form relationships around activities. We share from our souls with our sisters/mothers, and evidently that is very GOOD for our health. He said that spending time with a friend is just as important to our general health as jogging or working out at a gym. There's a tendency to think that when we are "exercising" we are doing something good for our bodies, but when we are hanging out with friends, we are wasting our time and should be more productively engaged—not true. In fact, he said that failure to create and maintain quality personal relationships with other humans is as dangerous to our physical health as smoking! So every time you hang out to schmooze with a gal pal, just pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for doing something good for your health! We are indeed very, very lucky. Let's toast to our friendship with our girlfriends. Evidently it's very good for our health. |
Well I guess I should make sure I get over to Mahjong tonight!

I'm not sure that Mahjong is quite as satisfying as a gabfest with wine! :wine: :D |
