Chels, you are up way too late at night and this proves it. ;D I bet you are looking forward to receiving the $500 shopping certificate which comes when you hit 500 posts. (Just kidding, don't PM Tony!)

I find most of the stores in TV and on 441 cater to the casual and comfortable informal stuff we all love to wear every day.

Now I'm looking for a trendy boutique-type store where I can buy a silky pant suit for a wedding. I hate department stores. I've already tried "Natural Instincts" in LSL. Can anyone make any suggestions about "trendy" shops in TV?

Barefoot,
Try Chico's at SS. They have some dressy clothes.
Patchington (also in SS) usually has some dressy things too...

How about TJ Maxx in Rolling Hills? Love that store; it's a hit 'n miss type inventory, however, the quality includes some real good labels. Most all of my suits worn during my career were purchased at either Marshall's or TJ Maxx. Can't beat the prices. Don't know if there's a Marshall's close by but have seen their ads on local cable.

happy shopping (luv it)....barb1191 aka "shopaholic"

Barb (love your avatar) and Susan .. thanks for the suggestions. Sadly I am the Return Queen of all time and so would never dare to shop on line.

Mint Julep, thanks for the suggestions! I will definitely check out Chico's and Patchingtons and report back here! I'm a lazy shopper, I can't stand to wade through piles of stuff. I really like the small speciality stores for "special occasions". They are more expensive but make shopping much easier.

Having said that, I've spent bags of money at the local Bealls Outlet at Southern Trace shopping for casual clothes. The prices there are simply incredible!

Is that where you got the orange outfit? That was one of the cutest I've seen in a long time.

Susan, I got that orange dress in Santorini, Greece. I love it so much that I rarely wear it. Does that make any sense at all? Naw, I didn't think so.

BTW, isn't it great to have a thread where there is no actual topic; so you can change topic whenever you want and the boys can't bitch about it?

Barefoot...I loved that orange dress, too! Was going to tell you but forgot (uh oh....sign of aging?).

Samhass...you looked so cute and comfy in the white dress at The Freeze. Don't think I'm small enough to wear something like that yet, but give me another few months and I just may give it a shot.

Susan...you now have me thinking that maybe I should try more bolder colors and not limit myself to only basic and simple. And, for my little skorts that I absolutely adore and own a closetful...well, maybe it's time to explore other options. Next time we're together, perhaps you'll go shopping with me and give me encouragement to try brighter and different things!

I'm thinking...hmmm...Barefoot and I at The Markets of Marion, Susan and I clothes shopping...watch out TV!

Oh my....what has this past week in TV done to me ??? ??? ???
