Bare: Urban Studio......Erica or any of the stylists there. They listen and do what you ask....I do my own color...easier and less expensive.

With gel nails, a week later and I'm still admiring my nails!

Thanks Beady, I'll try Erica for my hair.

I have question for you all. I have baby fine hair that goes straight in humidity instantly...you know like if someone sneezes in a room...that raises the humidity enough for my hair.

Anyway my question...short of getting a buzz cut when we move to TV, or learning to love the melted hang dog look, would a wig work?

Do wigs go straight in humidity? Are they too hot to wear in the summer months? Does sweat drip out from under the wig, taking with it any and all remaining make-up, as it heads south drenching your body in colored salt water.

Hmmm do I give the impression that I don't like humidity? I am serious about the wig part though!

Susan,

I have the same problem. My hair is so baby fine that I too, have thought of a wig. My friend told me about a volumnizer that is supposed to be much lighter than a wig. You pull your hair through the netting and blend with the wig. I will check this option out.

Good luck

That sounds like a wonderful solution, but doesn't the chin strap show??

I don't know how else I could keep it on my head. It sure wouldn't hook to my hair.

Please let me know what you find out Shirlee

When we first moved to Florida, I realized, at least for me, there were no "good hair days". I would leave the house looking fairly good, only to arrive at the party looking like I arrived on a broom. 24 years later, I have yet to find a decent hair style that is becoming.

I have been searching for a demo of how these can be secured to my super fine hair.

Star that is so very depressing . We will find a way m'dear and I will keep you posted. Worst case we will have matching buzz cuts.

Seriously there has got to be a way to look good in humidity. The wet cat look is so 'yesterday'. Hmmm when I think about it my wet cat look isn't so scrawny looking anymore either.

Gotta find a waterproof hair style.

Talking 'DOs' and don'ts

Obviously, I have natural curly hair. Of course I wanted straight hair. I used to fight it and hot iron, steam, pull, straighten. An hour later the ringlets would reappear! It was a useless never ending battle. It is so much easier to let it do whatever it wants. Golf cart hair is the worst!!! Men have it so much easier. Keep it short or shave it off!! At this point in life, WHO CARES!! Whatever your 'do', just be you!

I went to that website Shirlee. They have some very interesting items there.

I think what I am going to do is check around here for a store where I could go in and try one on. Is there such a place in TV or nearby? We will be there in Feb.

I am not in any hurry, cause it won't be humid here till next summer.

Thanks for the lead. Have you used it?

I am in GREAT hair NY at the moment. I am itching to find a shop to try one of these. I guess I can wait too. Arriving in TV shortly and glad to read that the humidity isn't a problem yet.

Oh Ronda, if I had your hair, I wouldn't even think of something like this. Your hair is great. All I want is a little fluff, as I say to my granddaughter, (who has hair like yours), "wanna share"?

Look what I found for the "heat" issue.

They also have how to videos on the far right side of the site page.

I have shared! Locks of Love, about 8 years ago. I think a girl trip to a wig shop would be fun!!! Maybe we can do this some day as a group, then lunch, or vise versa. My friend in RIs daughter donates every year. Of course her hair grows like a weed!!! Mine just falls out.
