Ok, y'all -- here is the acid test -- my husband. He saw the bill for the eyebrows and asked me exactly what I had done that cost $425. I didn't have on any make-up, so this was perfect. I walked over to him, looked him in the eye and said, "You can't tell?" He looked at my face and said, "No, what?"

Now this is a man that can tell you exactly how much you weigh, down to the pound. If I gain or lose a pound he says, "Hey! Looks like you gained/lost a pound." He notices everything, and I do mean everything. "Hey, is that a new purse?" I HATE that one.

$425 for just the brows? Sharie did mine for half the price and she did a great job.

Oh, please post a picture so I can see!

I had no idea what this might cost. I will say I didn't think it would be quite that much. They look great though.

I am sure you can get it for less from other practitioners. I am happy with mine, the practitioner, and the price I paid.

Is the process similar to getting a tattoo?

It is a tattoo. Here is a good link that explains the procedure:

Your brows look great but the price seems high. Before I got to that part...I was going to ask. Has anyone checked around to compare prices. I know, Sharie's went up last Fall. I had mine done before that...now I need them done again due to fading. BUT hesitate at exhoborant prices.

Thank you for the before and after photos Wanda; they look great. I have had mine done a total of 3 times in 20 years. In Orlando, the old-fashioned, fake looking ones for $150.00, 20 years ago. I had one touch up and the color lasted about 4 years total.
I had them done again in NJ for $400 and they also faded in about 4 years.
I also had them done by Shari at Cal's Salon 18 months ago for $199 with the brushstroked method and the color and brushstroke was perfect but I did not have a touch up and already need them done again!!...........I have platinum colored eyebrows so this really makes a difference for me....

I can not tell from your photos, are these brushstroked???

Thanks in advance!!

Kim calls it the "Emperor's" technique but I've seen brushstroked and believe they are similar.

Barefoot, I was in sales for years and did some pretty outlandish things a sale. Once I dressed up as a rabbit and hopped around a sales conference of about 550 people. I was mortified but our boss was crazy and I loved my job so I did it. Showing my eyebrows is a piece of cake.

why as women, do we think this is a lot to spend on ourselves when it seems men have no problem spending the same on a golf club?
