I use to wash my hair every 2-3 days. But since moving to Florida I find I am washing it every day. With running around all day and sweating I can't go without washing my hair every day. My hair is naturally curly so all I do is towel dry it and when it dries the curls all fall into place. No hair blower for me.

Once a week??!!!!!! Sorry , but that is GROSS! Daily, when showering. I agree with useing gentle products.

I guess it really depends on your hair type, but as we age, most of us seem to have to deal more with dryness. If you have always had dry or frizzy hair, it gets even worse. And gray has a mind of it's own!
Several hairdressers have suggested to me diluting shampoo if you must wash frequently, or washing no more than once a week if your hair is really dry. In between, rinse your scalp and hair well in the shower. It's not gross if your hair is really dry, believe me!
Check out the book Curly Girl if you want some suggestions on healthy hair. I shampoo much less frequently now, with diluted baby shampoo and conditioner and my hair is much healthier than when I washed/conditioned every day.

When I was younger and would use rollers, tease and spray the heck out of my hair, I would wash it once a week. Then came the natural look which meant shampooing and just towel drying so I'd wash it every day in the shower. Now my hair is a little dryer and has a considerable amount of white/silver and looks better the second day. So I shampoo every second or even third day, blow it dry and just touch it up with a curling iron. One, two, three and I'm done. wav
