Default I lost 47 pounds

Hi Ladies
I am in somewhat of a dilemma and want your advice. I have lost weight and need to get rid of all of my old clothes. I do not want to consign as I just don't want the hassle. I don't want to just give them away, not yet anyway, so my question is this. If I have a garage sale that consists of mostly clothing only and all either size large or size 14, (a few size 16 pieces) would you come? I don't intent to charge high prices. I am thinking, $2.00-shorts; $3.00-capri's; $3.00-jackets and $1.00 shirts/blouses. This is a list of how many pieces I have:
Capri's: White-7; Khaki-3; Navy-3; Blue Jean-1; Red-2; Black-5; Brown-2; & Green-1.
Dress Pants: Red-1; Navy-2; Black-2; Winter White-1.
Jackets: Various colors and styles-11
Blue Jeans-1; Black Jeans-1.
Short sleeve T's and Blouses-13
Long Sleeve-13
Skorts-4
Shorts-17
Sweat Pants-3
Sweat Suit-1
Sleeveless-11
A few name brand pieces but the majority is just things that I have purchased at stores around The Villages.
So ladies, please let me know if you would come. Thanks, JAV Date and time would be determined at a later date.

I think having a sale would be more of a hassle than taking them all to a consignment shop. Once you drop them - you're done. Congratulations on your weight loss.

I am very interested in how you lost the weight. Why don't you take pix of items or just list item by item with description and post on TOTV under Items for sale. Probably get rid of them without the hassle of yard sale.

My weight loss was all due to perseverance, determination and feeling so awful that I knew I had to do something. I joined Weight Watchers and I found it to be the easiest, healthiest and best help I could have ever found. No I do not get advertising royalties!!!!! Thanks for your responses everyone. Posting with a date to follow soon when I decide to have the sale.

Default hmmmm, my thoughts

Jav, I lost 46 pounds and had the same dilemma. I, however, decided to wait 2 years after having it off to sell my things. Anyone can lose weight but keeping it off is not as easy. For me it is not a new habit unless you have kept it off for at least 2 years.

Some may say that just gives you an out but it motivates me. I have to remember that I have to keep it off for at least 2 years.

In case anyone asks I did it through a program called Ideal Protein - google it at 3fatchicksonadiet (lean protein -not like Atkins and very low carbs).

I had to be honest that all my past efforts had not worked (in keeping it off) and that I needed help but I also think that one has to find what works for them.

Just my thoughts on the subject if it helps.
