Thumbs up Pedicure Bowl Liners @ Mango Nails

Yesterday I visited Mango Nails & Spa, the new shop in Traverse Plaza, corner of Route 44 and Powell Rd. The pedicure chairs at the shop have throw away bowl liners, making it a much more sanitary foot bath. Also, if you're looking for a good nail tech, try Tim at Mango Nails. He does an excellent job on pink and whites.

Phone number is: 352-775-4387
It's a smaller, nice relaxing salon.
The nail price is competitive with others but, due to recent foot surgery, I have not had the pedi yet and didn't think to check the price. Can't wait to get one though!
Also, if anyone is looking for Amy that was at Angela's at Buffalo Ridge Plaza, you will find her here at Mango. She does a great pedicure too.

Default Question...

I love hearing they use disposable liners! Can I get to this place via golf cart?

It is golf cart accessible. We go through or around Brownwood, use one of the tunnels to go under Powell and take the path parallel to Powell and you are there.

I went there the other day and found Tim. He did my nails at another shop and loved my nails. I get Shellac. I never found anyone as good as him since, so I was elated when I found him at Mango nails! Prices are competitive with other shops in the area.

I too found this to be a very clean and nice salon. It's new and next to Publix. I actually meant to start a thread about it after my pleasant experience there. In fact I have my 2nd appointment there tomorrow.

Yes, Tim is the best nail tech! He does an excellent job with my nails and I never have a problem with my nails. I was going every 2 weeks before I started having Tim do my nails. Now I go every 3 weeks, and I can even stretch it out to 4 weeks, if need be. I have followed him to four salons. He says this one is "home" for him!

Does anyone know what they charge for shellac over acrylic? I was thinking $35. Is that correct?

I'd like to know their price with shellac (gel) over acrylic, too. I have been going to Solar Nails at Pinellas Plaza and was shocked at the extra charge ($15) for gel polish over my acrylic nails. Up north there was no extra charge whatsoever. My last Solar Nails fill-in plus pedicure (French tips on toes) with gel polish over acrylic on finger nails was $61 not including tip.
I went online and purchased my own Perfect match gel polish hoping to find a salon that will apply it at no extra charge.

Disposable liners in a spa does not replace the fact that the spa jets must be cleaned. The bacteria comes in through the water jets and the jets must be sanitized/cleaned to remove the bacteria. The liner just keeps the tub in good condition. Florida law requires sanitation of each spa after every client. Also the salon/spa must keep a record of the cleaning schedule on each and every spa in the salon. Spraying the tubs with bleach is NOT proper disinfection.
