We had no issues with stainless in our previous house.

We also have another issue (need a separate thread) that our Whirlpool electric stove top (black) never wipes clean.

My stove top doesn't clean well, either. Not happy.:grumpy:

Only one poster recommended what I use daily in my housekeeping business; Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish.

Stainless Steel Polish | Stainless Steel Cleaner

It is petroleum based, which is natural. I prefer the aerosol to the pump sprayer:

That was I, and I like the wipes. Weiman's is available in all the grocery stores.

We've found that if you keep the cooktop clean of spills, using the razor/scrapper, that Windex keeps the cooktop really clean and streak free.

Another vote for the wipes.

Ha ha, you don't know my husband! (As in... how to cook an omelette outside of the pan.)

I like the wipes better than a spray, because there is no chance of overspray. The wipes put the cleaner on very evenly, also.

I don't like the wipes. I guess that is why they make both types of cleaners.

I clean the glass tops with Softscrub. I wipe it on with a paper towel and rub and rub until it dries into a thin film. Then I continue wiping with a clean paper towel until the top shines. Next, I wipe it with window cleaner. I don't use Windex since I discovered Sam's Club brand of window cleaner. It is amazing.
