WB Beady - :welcome: :welcome: Back to the Neighborhood.

I hear that D'Lite is one of your favorite hangouts. Ours also. We go nearly every day for our 40 calorie fix.

Hope the koffee klatch works out.

Spent the day with my dear friend Nonie. We went to the casino in Tampa. Didn't do well, but it was fun anyway! Had a wonderful time, broke chels http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...rokesmiley.gif

I was in Tampa as well - but at a Financial Planning meeting. If you had won, I would have been happy to make some recommendations! ;D

Thanks Beads. I hated to cancel off the cruise and I thought I'd be just desolate to miss out on all that fun! But I'm so busy here, and excited about returning to the Reservation in October, I don't have any time at all to be sad.

I hope that all you cruising peeps have great weather and a really wonderful time. I understand that the pool permits topless sun tanning. In Chel's words, make sure your "sisters" don't disappear into your armpits. ;D

Thanks Susan. I wanted a picture that shows the leaves changing color. It is so beautiful here in Canada in the Fall. I bet it is spectacular on your lake also.

Yes it is, but we are still all green. Will be a few weeks or so before we get good color. Stil in the high 60's low to mid 70's here.

We're Slipping!

Wow, we've let this slip and I want to get back to each of us wonderful gals doing something good for ourselves each day.

So today, I worked less, relaxed and watched old movies. A very delightful day. I was good to me.

Celebrated a dear friend's 60th birthday today in a great Italian restaurant in Brooklyn with good friends and family. We're planning a Friendship Cruise for sometime in 2010 as we'll be celebrating 50 years of friendship by then. Been a long road, sometimes bumby but all in all not a bad ride, not bad at all.

graciegirl 10-18-2008 07:18 PM

We winterized our outdoor areas today in preparation for our trip down to see all of you. Turned off and disconnected hoses, brought tables and outdoor furniture in, rolled up the rugs on the screen porch and put the porch swing in the garage in preparation for its trip south and its new place on the lanai in Hadley. Tomorrow the guy will come to turn off the irrigation system before cold weather. We are renting a trailer again, we have more stuff to bring. We have harnesses on Mikey and Hershey so when they complain in the car, we can let them out of their cage at least. Won't be long now. :)

I know that techically, it is not a "self indulgent" sort of thing, but for me, it is the beginning of the countdown to some happy times with you.

Karen83 10-18-2008 08:10 PM

After spending the first 14 days of our new life in TV trying out every activity I could find (like a kid in a candy shop), I listened to my body and stayed home and read!

So now I'm rested and ready to get going again and will start off with some tennis tomorrow morning! What a life! :a040:

Gracie, get that trailer packed.....I can't wait to meet you in person!

Karen

Good for you Chels,

Your right, we have let this thread slip and its just too good to let it slide.

Today I went to the outlet mall near the lakehouse with a friend and bought myself 3 new pair of underpants. Amazing how new underpants can really give you a LIFT?:MOJE_whot:

When all else fails nothing like buying new underwear!

I have been trying to upload pictures here using Photobucket for a long time. Each time I tried, I was told that, "the upload has failed"! With so much going on, I have not had the patience or time to give it too much attention. Today, I read all I could on this site and was successful in adding some pictures Yippee! Now I am going to watch Tina Fey/Sarah Palin.

chelsea24 10-20-2008 10:30 AM

Lazy Bones!

Spent the weekend doing nuttin' honey! That's the best I could do for me!

nONIE 10-20-2008 11:59 AM

The greatest joy is in giving.

:Brought a huge beautiful vase of roses over to a dear friend/neighbor who is always doing things for us, without asking!

Which brings me to the question: What do you do for someone who has everything, wants nothing, and is continually showing kindnesses. Somehow flowers does not seem like enough!:undecided:

sschuler1 10-20-2008 09:30 PM

Nonie, everyone has to eat! So no one can have everything when it comes to food. Find out what your neighbor loves to eat but rarely treats themselves with. Or, anything homemade always shows how much you care!

Today I treated myself to a couple of hours of searching for tile for our backsplash in our kitchen. We are redoing our counter tops with granite, and plan to tile the backsplash at the same time. I think I was able to narrow it down to two choices, so it was a productive two hours. Now I just have to convince my hubby that these are the only two options open to him. :evil6:

chelsea24 10-20-2008 10:28 PM

Yummmm!

Speaking of treats, I bought fudge today. This is so not good for me. But why does it feel so good?:laugh:

graciegirl 10-21-2008 05:41 AM

Today I am having my hair restored to it's somewhat original blonde condition. I am having a pedicure and a manicure and I am beating myself up over not losing some weight and exercising more before I returned to TV.

GG, you will look so elegant when you get to TV! :coolsmiley:

Well, I'm not having a manicure or pedicure or hair colour. But like GG, I'm beating myself up over not losing some weight .. I gained 12 lbs when I left TV which I haven't been able to shake, well, how hard have I tried? Not too hard at all. Fortunately the extra pounds are conveniently located around my waist, lol, so will be easy to find if I resort to liposuction. :undecided:

Back to unpacking all the boxes from moving houses. So I can start packing for the trip to TV. See y'all soon.

nONIE 10-21-2008 08:23 AM

Bare. want to go and have that lifestyle lift together? My face and your middle. I have still not given up on the idea, just have to get up enough nerve!

Hurry and get down to TV, the boxes will wait for you!

Hyacinth Bucket 10-21-2008 09:00 AM

GG - no one will notice any weight you did not lose. We all have the same feelings and/or problem. Will not tell you how many years this has been my #1 resolution.

You will be one glamorous gal - now that will stand out along with your wonderful personality.

See ya soon.

HB

Hyacinth Bucket 10-21-2008 09:02 AM

Nonie and Bare - I am thinking of having my baggy eyelids done. It will be an "uplift" of a different kind.

I will not lose any weight in the process though -

HB

beady 10-21-2008 09:05 AM

HB Let's do that together....my eye doc says I should be eligible for an eyelid reduction in about a year. Insurance will pay.....hooray!!!!

Donna 10-21-2008 09:06 AM

The one good thing I am going to do today is clean the house, and start packing for TV. :mornincoffee:

The Great Fumar 10-23-2008 08:05 PM

I have to admit that this is a very interesting thread......And its a very clever idea to call your support group to tell them what good thing you have done for yourself.....That way it doesn't take up much of your time and you only have to carry your cell phone once a month.........

Wish I'd thought of it ................fumar
