Default Worms

This morning, after the rain last evening/overnight, we have oodles of little black worms on the sides of our house outside and many made their way into our screened lanai. What are these worms? Can Massey spray for them? Any other remedies to get rid of them?

Sounds like it is time to go fishing.

They are called millipedes.
Massey should be able to get rid of them.
If not, buy Crosscheck from John Deere Landscapes and spray!!!

Take a nice close up photo and post it for us so we can speculate more accurately

The millipedes, which another thread suggested, are difficult to get rid of. I tried various sprays and nothing stops them except to step on them. Then there are the little worms which get into your lanai and dry up sticking to the floor...I believe that is what the OP is talking about - not sure how to get rid of these except to have pest company treat lawn. I'm sure someone here knows a DIY method.

A slight correction. Upon closer inspection, these are small (an inch or less) dark brown caterpillars which roll into a ball when touched. Massey said they were from oak trees (which are across the street in a wetlands area) and that there wasn't anything they could do to treat them. Has anyone else had these?
