The vial of life program has been in effect in Sumter County for years. Pick one up for free at any police station. The information is placed in a vial and placed in your refrigerator ( in case of fire) and a green sticker placed on your front door ( so rescuers know to look in your fridge for the info). Excellent program especially for those living alone.

We have it! It works!
It is effective. By the time my wife brought the paramedics to where I was another one had already taken the Vial of Life from the Fridge and knew my history and meds. Very helpful. Now if they could only give a copy to the ER when I was transported it would be even more effective!

The concept sounds like a good concept, but naming it "Vial of Life" is surely going to get the conpiracy theorists out in full force. Besides, I don't see a medic who picks you up at the Winn Dixie, trying to find your house to get to your refrigerator in hopes of finding information in a Vial. It might be better to wear a medical bracelet that can be scanned for medical information.
