Default Home Surge Protectors Devices

Moved here from Panama about a week ago and am looking for recommendations for what others here have done to protect electronics, appliances, etc from lightning strikes, electrical surges, etc. Am not looking for the cheapest or the most expensive methods just one that will protect the entire home from electrical overloads of this type. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I agree, they will put on a whole house surge protector for 5.95 per month, well worth it.
