Not really do it all summer long. Stay hydrated, in the shade a much as possible and bring an extra shirt, along with a towel to wet in the coldest water from the ambassadors. It is only sweat!!

True - golf courses need to make a profit, don't they?

If it needs to be broken down, because I know how some people don't like to research for themselves;

Hacienda up 8
Glenview up 2
Lopez up 2
Palmer no change
Cane up 4
Mallory up 5
Havana up 5
Bonifay up 5
Evans Prairie up 8
Belle Glade up 5
Tierra up 11
Orange Blossom up 4

These increases are for resident members which is what I am, and probably what most are, and compared to 2019 winter rates

Sooooo you are willing to spend $10+ in gas to save $2 to $8 increase. OK Car pooling I guess. Have a couple of beers, drive home. HUMMMM!
I like the convenience of driving my cart to the GC and then to local spot for lunch. Everybody has their own opinion.

It's an interesting take on supply and demand. The supply is fixed (as far as I can tell, The Villages has no plans for any new championship courses, although early maps near Fenney showed an 18 hole course - not sure where that is now). So they will be selling thousands of new homes in a golfing community while keeping the number of championship courses the same. Think that might impact demand? But, at the same time, if you raise the prices significantly, which they are doing, the resultant bad feelings by some residents should tamper demand somewhat. That's capitalism folks.

Not sure most would agree that south of CR44 is being built & sold as a golfing community.

My husband who is 79 has not missed a Golf day here for the weather(HOT or COLD) and he plays 18 holes on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sometimes I beg him not to go out as I am too young to be a widow, but he always says; "Somebody's got to do it".

I am so happy he can and he loves it.

That is kind of stating the obvious. Let's see, build thousands of homes without a Championship Golf course, not a golfing community.
