Or you can just look on the back of every championship course scorecard for the course rating and slope for each 18-hole rotation.

When you book a time between 1:30 and 2:00 (actually 1:56, that's the end of the 2nd wave) at any of the championship courses, you have to book for 18 holes; when you get to the golf shop to check in, tell the person that waits on you that you want to play 9 holes. You can play 9 holes at Lopez Tori Pines and Evans Egret any time of day but you have to call the respective course or the Tee Times Office to book those times. The 1:30 time will get later and will change as the winter season transitions into the summer season. Hope this helps.....

I'm relieved that i don't want to play 9 holes on a championship course because based on this thread its easier to crack the code of a rubric cube then to figure out championship 9 hole scheduling...what happen to the KISS principle?

Actually, it is KISS

Normally, after the afternoon wave, you pay the 9 hole rate and can play 9, or 6, or 13, or 23---unlimited play, subject to availability

In January, as a test program, Egret at EP and Torri Pines at NL are 9 holes all day. Call tee time office in advance, or course on day of play.

That's it. Except to mention Egret has been pretty empty---I guess fewer people want to pay $18.50 for 9 as opposed to a "free" exec. But this time of year, it's a great option for getting on a course at the last minute.

It's just 1/2 price of 18, whatever category you fit into. $18.50 is the priority rate at EP. PL would probably be $21.50 (after afternoon wave)

I think it's $26 for EP as a resident member. I hope I'm wrong.

Tee off on Egret in 1 hour---1st full nine since August. This should be a scoring disaster! But I'll still probably do better than par of 72 (Oops, that's for 18)

That's great news. Enjoy the walk, the scenery and the camaraderie. Don't let the golf get in the way.

I think I let the space between my ears get in my way. 41--5 bogies, 4 pars, BUT... 2 bogies by sailing it in the water on 1&9, by 1 foot, and 2 three putts. How to turn a 37 into a 41 in a hurry

golfing eagles: my definition of KISS application concerning this issue is that I can go on the tee time system and select either 9 or 18 holes on any championship golf course here. Its done all over the country and in fact is one of the strategies by the golf industry to bring back the 5 million or so people who left the game. Playing 9 was a double assist here in that it reduced the cost and reduce the play time as some folks complained golf took too long ...its how "ready play" and "while I 'm young" have become the golf mantra

That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Might create some gaps in the wave format, but I suppose the 9 holers could be spread out. On the other hand, if the course is fully booked with 18 hole rounds, why would they cut revenue by putting 9 hole play in the rotation?
