Default Disappointed golfers?

Here it is, after 4:00pm on Tuesday 30 Jun.

It has been raining on and off almost all day.

Makes me wonder how many disappointed golfers can TV absorb in one day? I'll bet there were a whole bunch, today!

My husband wasn't one of them. He played an executive at 7:45 and kept dry. Played another 9 at 9:15 but got wet. Came home and changed his clothes and played another 9 at 12:15. He said if he wasn't having so much fun and hitting the ball so good he probably wouldn't have played but he loved it. Rain when it is warm isn't nearly as bad.

Default Just kept golfing

Had 7:36 tee time this morning--air was wonderful. Had a few rain drops a little later but just kept playing along. Unbelieveably we finished without getting soaked...had a great time. It was so nice an warm, just enjoyed it. Got a little chilly on the cart drive home. Hot shower and hot coffee.. just another great day in The Villages.

Sandy222 -

You have The Villages spirit!! Not only was the golf fun but I'll bet that hot shower felt great and the coffee was the best you've had in years. Enjoy!

Well, as much as I love golf, the great thing about living here, is that when it rains, there are plenty of other things to do!! Imagine living at some of the other "retirement" places, that only have one, or maybe two courses, and not all the rec centers, and clubs and all that we have here? Rains for a day, or two, so what, there is always tomorrow!!

Default The rain in Maine

We wish we were at our home in Bonita and putting up with some rain. Up here in Maine it rained 21 of the 30 days in June and it has been raining steadily for the 1st two days of July. Golf courses around here are pretty much submerged.
