Default El Diablo Repair Timeline

Has anyone heard what repairs are being planned, and the projected timeline, for El Diablo golf course? The villages news online reported two sinkholes but I counted at least three from the MMP paralleling El Camino Real, and you can only see the first three holes from there.

My guess would be to call the golf central. Any comments here would be highly speculative to timeline.

When it comes to sinkholes you won’t get a straight answer from golf central, they won’t even mention the “S” word. They have been carefully trained to downplay sinkholes and only refer to them as depressions. Between El Diablo, Mira Mesa, and Silver Lake all being closed, and all being located in relatively close proximity, the other Executives in the area are unusually busy for this time of the year. Hopefully Silver Lake and El Diablo will reopen soon. Mira Mesa on the other hand isn’t going to open anytime soon, it still looks like the completion of the renovations is far away. Both Mira Mesa and Riley Grove began renovations last May, Riley Grove is close to reopening while Mira Mesa still looks like it did 5 months ago? If they don’t get moving on Mira Mesa it could be closed all winter since the growing season will be over until next March.

We live on El Diablo and they have been working on the sinkholes daily. I don’t know the exact timeline but there are about seven holes they have been filling with dirt. We are as anxious as you are.

I’ll ask my landscapers nephew, he will know for sure.

Do you get a penalty for hitting into the sinkhole?

Asking for a friend.

Play it where it lies! That is the penalty. Tell your friend.

Looks like MIra Mesa is not going to open anytime soon. Looks like someone forgot to order sod or whatever they use. Growing season appears to have ended last week when temps went down into the 50's. Most champ courses are now turning brown.
