Give the Starters a break. Obviously they were not informed of the new policy of a couple of days ago. The buck stops at whoever is the pro/manager of that course.

Keep in mind that the cart itself might be contaminated from those who had previously used it. From what I’ve seen it can live for 9 days or more. Less in temps above 86.

If you don't know who you are playing with, whether championship or executive course, then you should not book the tee time. You are in an open cart that in itself is "social distancing". Washing your hands and plain consideration of others is the key here. Squares are closed but thankfully the restaurants are still open.

Friday Belle Glade was allowing 4 carts.

As of today, you can take four separate carts on a championship golf course. Myself and one other person in my group took carts and one person in a separate cart took a passenger. They now allow everyone to be in their own golf cart.

They will tell you they want to limit the cart number to not have excess wear on the course. Well, at this point they are fortunate that the courses are not closed. Let the carts run safely before no wear and tear at all...

[QUOTE=Prince4425;1727822]And that is part of the problem. You just TELL. So you can pick and choose which rules are applicable to you.[/QUOTE

Newby with 2 posts talking smack. Hahahahahaha!

Why don't you call the Championship courses, if you even play, and ask them now what their cart policy is? It has been changed due to Covid 19.

And if you can read, you probably missed where I said that I know what the rules are for 3 carts and that I stayed on the cart paths and/or the rough.

I'm a retired LEO with 25 yrs of exemplary service; I don't pick and choose rules which are applicable to me.

Find out all the facts before you type, Sport.

Not everyone here is high risk, at least not anyone we gather with. So if anyone is in fear the stress alone will take a toll on them

Ordinarily a great joke. But, given the circumstances and the level of fear, not so funny:ohdear::ohdear::ohdear:

I thought "high risk" referred to how serious the virus would be if you got it, not whether or not you would get it. So maybe your friends are not high risk because of their age, but that doesn't mean they can't get it or spread it.

I would think that separate carts would speed up play significantly. Put a slicer and a hooker together in one cart and watch them drive the cart back and forth across the fairway to play their balls from opposite sides. And the common "I need a different club" when the cart with your clubs is on the opposite side of the fairway. I bet you've seen it happen more than once. Slows things down quite a bit.

If you're really uncomfortable riding with someone, who said you need to ride.

Before leaving the slicer you ask if you have the right club then they wont need another club. I see 4 carts driving down the center of the fairway. With 4 carts on the fairways, how much additional wear & tear is happening? Try using the cart paths a little more. Do you touch the flag stick & pick your ball out of the hole? After the round do they go in and eat and get 4 different tables?
