Default Golf course maintenance

How come the front of the greens look beautiful but the back of the greens as on Hacienda #8 look like this!

Not sure what course on Hacienda it is, but I believe the answer of to much is correct. Also may not be a spot where they water.

Yup...shade and tree fallings. I suppose they could find a shade loving grass, but would it stand up to the leaves and stuff falling from the trees.

If the green itself, fringe and apron are good then you're looking for something that isn't required.
